Funny thing is that’s how we eat in most of west and central Africa (at least before there was a lot of imported junk food). Loads of local fruit, veg and greens + good carbs and the occasional good quality protein
Not 300grams, but that is what is needed to maximize muscle hypertrophy, not health (to an extent). Nobody in history looked like a serious gym goer, nor did they need to. That aside that doesn't mean that big muscles aren't healthy, they are.
What you mean fish or meat a couple of times. It is every day if possible and you were not poor. Some ham, prosciutto, anti pasto, and fish and seafood if not whole at least in stock.
