i have one of these, bought it for a steal of 700 bucks. the guy suffered a hand injury and wanted a good home for it, had to play some pantera for him to be able to buy it😅🤘
I really enjoy these videos, thanks for making these. These are very informative and detailed not to mention that you really nail everything you play, it’s also cool how you took some old tunes and gave them a touch of your own. Very cool! Have you ever considered making guitar lesson videos for Pantera/Dimebag songs? I bet you would get tons and tons of views and likes on those, I’ve had the hardest time with a few of these like Revolution, heresy, slaughtered, etc. thanks again!
Thank you! I really try to do my research for my videos especially when showcasing Dimebag guitars. I've thought about it but we shall see. I also offer guitar lessons and enjoy teaching Pantera leads and riffs that way!
Hey E, I bought a Dime o flage bk in December and it’s such a joy to play!!! Made in Indonesia with V-shaped neck which I absolutely love!! 59 in the neck and Dimebucker in the bridge. I love it and I would love to get a Flame to go with it, but who wouldn’t right lol, can you turn me onto a Dime chat or community chat that I can connect with other Dime fans? Thx always for the vids E, I appreciate your hard work
Hey congrats on the new guitar! I've always wanted a newer dime o flage since they finally look true to Dime's original. There are many on Facebook! Just do a quick search and you'll be in luck
Hey thx for getting back to me E, and that’s another reason why I’m such a loyal fan of your channel and of your SICK guitar chops!! I wish we lived in the same town or country for that matter, because I would love to pick ur brain on everything Pantera and more importantly I would love to get to jam with you!! My wife and I live in North Carolina, and that’s so cool that we live thousands of miles apart but I’m still able to make contact with you!! Thx again E for all the time and hard work you put into making these vids!!
Always loved the flame. A lot of flame graphic guitars look corny, not this one imo. I had a custom korean razorback (pearl white/gold hardware and gold pinstripe). Ended up selling it, sounded really good, but the fretjob was pretty bad. Def prefer the ML shape. Yours looks like the earliest run, there text on the headstock bleeds past the edge of the burst graphic, and the graphic in general is darker. Could be wrong but I think they moved to the V shape shortly there after on all of the Dime models. My razorback had a V shape, not a huge fan tbh. I'd def like another ML. Edit: nice song choice for the heavy tone.
Yeah some graphics can be hit or miss regardless of the brand, but I've always felt Dean did a great job with them, especially at the import level. That's a great guitar and too bad it had those issues! Yes this is an 06 flame. Hard to say when they moved to the V shape since the necks are all over the place on import deans through the years. Thanks! Always loved this Damageplan song!
Nice Guitar dude and awesome playing 😊🤘 the korean ones I played were always killer guitars and this one seems to be just like that. Sad that dean no longer makes these but Iam really looking foward to what dean z. and Rita are having in the making for us new guitar wise.
Thank you 🤘 the Korean dimebag guitars are always a fantastic choice. I guess we will see what happens when the new brand gets launched hopefully this year in terms of guitar offerings
Watching your videos as I always do when Dime related. You had mentioned that his Korean models have a C shaped neck and the Chinese have the V Shaped necks. I own 4 Korean Dimes and 2 have the V and the other 2 have a C. And I own the White ML that's made in China and that to have a C shaped neck. I recently bought a Washburn 333 and thats also sporting a C profile. I wonder why that is?
Wow sounds like the neck shapes were all over! I've played non Dimebag Korean deans and some of them have V necks and some of them don't. My 333s all had C shape necks. Hard to say why the neck shapes changed so much. Thanks for checking out my videos!
I've got a 06 Korean D-o-F, C shape neck profile. I've got a 08 Chinese DFH with the soft V. An Chinese 2018 Brasilian ML, again soft-V. Well, I think we can all agree on the fact that those differencies remains a mystery😅 Overall I live the soft V more. Getcha Pull 🤟
I couldn't pass up 239 usd for a used '08 dof ml. With case, from a pawn shop in '17. It really is a nice player. I still have it all stock. I am only looking at videos again because I have 12 other guitars to get an idea on which to sell, but it is a keeper. I wondered if others have felt that way about these korean ml's as well. It plays better than my 95 esp KH-2 and other more expensive guitars.
So the 05’s have the C shaped necks?? Awesome channel, playing and killer tone!! I’m looking to buy my first Dean Dime guitar, Haven’t ever played the V necks though.
There were 2 usa made of these that recently came out. I dont think they were hand painted as the graphic is an exact match to dimes original which was hand painted, they might have used a high quality graphic on the usas. I have two of these, an E korean and a china. The E korean is rare and has a darker flame graphic than the later models.
Yeah I know those. There was supposed to be a run of 100 flame and camo but only 2 of each made it into the wild due to the estate leaving Dean. Not sure if they're vinyl or painted but would be great to know if anyone has the answer!
@EricMorettin they are Vinyl graphics. I talked to the guy on Reverb that was selling them. He had 1 USA Flame and 1 USA Flage, both had Vinyl printed graphics. I was thinking hard about grabbing one until I found that out. Wasn't going to pay 3,800 bucks , which was the price he was going to let the Flame go to me, for Vinyl graphics. I guess it would be too hard to replicate these hand airbrushing them, plus Rick is a pretty busy dude with his business.
Did you try fixing the action first,. Lol.. only way this guitar would ever play " like ass" is if you are not maintaining it. Maybe you had the china model?
