This is fantastic content. Please keep making videos like this. I felt the pain when you were under the low branches on the last shot. I was yelling at the TV, “go to a knee, go to a knee!!”
At first I was thinking that a run that doesn’t start on hole 1 would be less legitimate, but then I remembered that shotgun start tournament rounds are perfectly legit, so I’m on board
Be careful w the pinched nerve. A couple years ago I had a minor pinched nerve in my back and I kept frolfing away and after a few weeks of not chilling and letting it heal it eventually got so bad I couldn’t be active for 1/2 year and pain didn’t go 100% away for 9-10 months. Also great series!
The best round I ever threw in my life started with a bogey on the first hole. Starting the challenge when you start throwing well, I worry will give a an asterisk, not from me, but from yourself. It’s a second shot ace.
Think you need to switch up the strategy on hole 4, hammering the tee shot for a possible eagle is too low %. Think if you threw a hyzer flip Supra, flex with the shark slot, or a straight fairway, you can keep it in the middle easier and have a high % birdie.
I'd consider discing down off the tee on 4. Looks pretty far downhill. Or, forehand drive? Keep practicing the putting it's looking way more consistent.
Hey I’m thinking into getting into taping my own rounds to put on RU-vid what kind of equipment should I start with I have an iPhone 13 now what can I use with it thanks in advance
New rule is great. Saves you potentially time wasting walks back to hole 1 and could be sick if it ends up that your last hole is one of the par 4s and you need to 2 it.
My one suggestion would be less talking between every shot. Not that we don’t like your thought process but a 2 minute breakdown of what every shot meant is slightly excessive. Give us a brief comment and onto the next one! :)
Hey Trevor, I suggested that rule change but had an additional aspect to it I think will help you mentally with the challenge. There is no need to "restart" the challenge. Merely play the holes in sequence, until you score -9 or better. Put an on screen graphic of the last 8 holes similar to Jomez, where it's Gray/Green/Blue and show your total score based off those holes. That way, the perfect round happens when you put together a perfect string of 9 holes, not when you arbitrarily declare that you are restarting and do 9 in a row. I plan on doing something like that at my course for practice. So for instance if you par hole 1, you are now E with [P] . If you birdie hole 2, it's [P][B] , and birdie hole 3, it will be -2 [P][B][B]. just keep on showing each hole on screen until you've counted 9 holes, then shift everything left until the 9th hole drops off.
Fun series and I like the idea of scoring 9 under on 9 consecutive holes. I’d like to see a bit more disc golf and less of you explaining every shot. Maybe have someone with you to talk with. Videos with you and your brother are great!
I think a good series for this channel would be disc battles but more focus on learning the discs than competing I do it with my bag and it helps a lot in the long run
Like the new rule Trevor. You’re right it’s definitely going to come down to putting, gonna have to hit everything in C1. But you definitely got it I think you’re going to par one & eagle one the time you do it 👌💪
From one Trevor to another.... You're making "your" golf really tough. Example: the forehand turnover on the downhill par 4 you finished on. why not go safe- spike hyzer at it with a putter? Respectfully, play better golf. The final "putt/throw in"- why not go to a knee? make the basket bigger. Lastly... a tip for your putt... This helped me a lot because I also push putt. Make sure when you finish your putt there is follow through and intent behind it. Meaning- kick that foot up, shoulder at the pin, and the biggest tip yet, EXTEND YOUR ELBOW. 😃 I hope this helps.
I like the rule of continuing the challenge on the next hole. When I coached volleyball and had to teach correct technique, the girls always had to take time to “unlearn” their bad technique or the way they had always done it. It will take time, but the new putt will eventually take form and feel normal.
That was a pretty egregious foot fault on the putt on hole 3. After seeing that I noticed you have a tendency to kick your disc a lot when you pump fake. Give yourself another inch behind your disc when you putt. I don't want to see Brodie catching you on one of those foot faults to negate the PS5 when the time comes.
I absolutely do not care what hole you start on. As long as you play the required number for the challenge, starting on 1 or 7 is kind of moot. Most viewers would not know the difference anyway you could tell them hole 7 was hole 1, and they would just go with it because they do not know the course.
Please throw a putter off hole 4s tee you’ll have a mid or fairway in to the green. Getting the distance driver in the middle is way to hard when putter putter is reachable.
I initially didn’t care for it when you were presenting the new rule, but it grew on me throughout the video. Out of interest, what is your best score on this course so far?
