I am not trying to be disrespectful, but showing how a product works on what looks like a perfectly clean tub is not a good example. Please show it being used on a dirty tub or shower.
I was thinking wow this tub looks new, however she can't help that it does. If she used a friend's home, then people would complain, about that didn't look like her tub from her other videos. Then she would have to explain this is her friend's tub, then her friend would get comments like: she is nasty with that tub looking like that. This is probably why we don't get many dirty, gross videos. This channel is suppose to inspire us to try it for ourselves. I do have a neighbor who has an older bath tub and I'm going to see if I can try this on hers. Hopefully you take this comment in kind. 🙏😊
My tub looks like this. It looks “clean” from a distance but there is loads of soap scum buildup (so I imagine that’s hard to capture on camera). Awhile back I used this exact same “recipe” and it worked wonders! Far better than any store bought cleaner and the added bonus is that baking soda is a natural abrasive!
I have tried this on a clean tub and a fairly dirty one. The dirty one required a handle brush and more elbow grease but it got the job done. The mixture works great on the faucet and taps too.
If it's truly dirty or has a lot of soap residue, HEAT THE VINEGAR up in the microwave before adding to the soap. But just until hot, do not get it to boiling temp. Or else you'll melt the plastic spray bottle and/or lose the effectiveness of the vinegar.
I make this all the time. Its very cheap to make. Not only does it clean but it makes the Bath, sink, tiles and loo shine. I don’t bother with the essential oils though. Great stuff 👍🏻
I cleaned my tub and shower with this. It worked very well. The trick is not letting it get too dirty in the first place. Then, it's a much easier task! I'm also disabled so .. you can do it! Btw, I use lemon and tea tree.
This is my favorite combo. I do it daily with one difference. I use a softer broom that I purchased specifically for shower-use only. This saves my back TREMENDOUSLY! Changed my life. Then I shower and after that I always wipe the whole shower/tub out because my water is hard and THAT aae will cause a dirty appearance if left to dry. This woman filming sells some microfiber cloths that are 😇🤲AmaZing for this. 😉🙆🏼♀️ I sometimes just wrap one around the broom and also swab out the tub like that when my back is very achy and/or I'm feeling lazy.
@@amandalyoung676 I wish I could buy some but I simply can't afford them. I can't even afford cheap ones. I'm resorting to making rags out of old clothes, but I Love my bath tub broom too! Yessss..
@@ashakabeta $tree sells these head wraps to use after washing your hair. I absolutely love them, I never use a regular towel. They are microfiber and last a long time. I do wash them with my towels. I know you shouldn’t do that with microfiber, but where I just use them on my hair they are fine. I bet they would work just like the expensive ones. Hope this helps you. ❤
I just switched to true earth laundry strips, safer dish soap, and just today I was at the store about to buy spray foam shower cleaner. Im so glad I didn’t. This is exactly the solution. Thanks.
Love hearing about the use of Tru Earth laundry laundry strips! We are big fans of environmentally safe products and try to educate about Electrolyzed Water as well which is very under rated (in case you haven’t heard of it! Many of our Tru Earth customers have come back to explore Hypochlorous Generators as the latest home appliance!
My MIL uses that and her laundry always comes out clean and you never have to guess how much you need. I use 7th generation due to allergies so I already knew natural cleans better but I was still impressed
I prefer your other tub cleaner, half and half vinegar and dish soap in a spray bottle. I put some in a soap dispenser dish brush to go over tough spots. No having to kneel and hand scrub the tub.
I've been housecleaning for over 20 years. I've tried it all. Magic Erasers and tubs - no soap or scrubbing required - I cannot express it enough how flawless these work on tubs and tile. It's a secret weapon if I start dating someone new and I can't comprehend their lack of bathroom cleanliness. 5 minutes during a shower I'm already taking and the tub is safe and sound.
It should do. I have a similar situation and haven't had a problem. Maybe you could test it in a small spot and see if it does anything before doing the entire tub.
@@jg1551 that ruined my old, beautiful tub. Now I have to be extremely careful with the things I use. The tub looks horrible, so I’m going to have to get it redone.
They sell a kit at Home Depot/lowes. You just paint it on like regular paint and it dries to a hard finish. It’s really easy and takes like a few hours at most
You just wing it. Put some baking soda in a dish and then add dish liquid to it until it's a paste consistency 😊. A drop of nice smelling essential oil is totally optional and not necessary for cleaning power.
Thankyou for sharing tips on Earth Friendly solutions! As the largest consumer distributor of Electrolyzed water (hypochlorous) generators, we are huge fans of earth friendly, human friendly products and techniques that WORK!

I am going to try this on fiberglass/plastic tub. With these ingredients, it can’t go wrong. It just may not work. 9.4.2022 update. Worked! Shower curtain too!
Baking soda can scratch your tub, and for limescale its useless you need vinegar or citric acid to get rid of limescale. Ds is good for the grease and soap residue 😊 combine ds with vinegar 😉
I have had the best success with baking soda cream cleanser and scrub daddy power paste but I have not tried this (seems similar) My tub had not been fully cleaned in years so I used cleaned it with bathroom cleaner soaked and then the cream with a copper scrubber and 95% came off, and scrub daddy got anything else. I do not think I have seen the tub this clean even when my mom scrubbed her hands raw with ajax. Btw do not reccomend ajax, only thing it worked better than was kaboom
I do the cleaning in the bathroom but with bleach in spray only and while I shower. That's the fastest and easiest way...also, I do it every 2 to 3 days.
@@AmandaLovesOldFords Is not, but is just a little bit of bleach diluted in water...it hardly smells. Now I'm doing it with water, destilled vinegar and a lemon. Also works great.
Okay word the wise-what they don’t tell you is that baking soda is so hard to just rinse off. Second they don’t say is it won’t help with soap scum. For that use rubbing alcohol. That will break down any soap product. Plus disinfect-These people make me smh… at their tips 🤦♀️.
Makes perfect sense - both dish soap and baking soda work on grease, so soap scum will be obliterated. Vinegar cleaner, on the other hand, works on hard water spots.
Thanx , But Doesn't Help .. Everyone Shows These .. What I Need is Someone to Help With Hard Water DIY Cleaner , Not a Perfectly Brand New Tub Cleaner .. I've Tried Every Concoction There is Out There 🤦♀️
For hard water spot removal you need acid. You can use baking soda and detergent cleanser to remove soap scum. Before rinsing, sprits with diluted vinegar. It would bubble up acid acting with baking soda (alkaline), and leave it for 5 min. Then rinse. It should remove hard water deposit. Steam cleaner is also effective for removing hard water deposits with diluted vinegar.
THANK YOU!!! Use oven cleaner leave a couple of hours then clean out with a degreaser cleaner you can get at loews its Orange WORKS IN REAL WORLD I have lime/iron in water and live in old house
I love all your recipes and they have changed my life. But please, don't use essential oils. They're so bad for the environment and they don't add much. It's much better to just use a diffuser if you like the smell and you still want to use them. But essential oil sales have boomed in the past decade and it is a very destructive industry.
