The dog is so adorable he was so excited he took the card out of the guys hand to keep because he knows he is going to a good home which is just amazing
I know I try so much but they always deny me because I don’t have a big yard but I have a yard sale because I don’t have a big yard. They won’t let me rescue a dog so I had to go out and buy one.
I would have got the bordercollie to the left... Bordercollies have a high reject rate due to their herding tendency and people trying to make them co exist with cats.
Not really, they notice patterns very quickly. Dosent your dog know what you grabbing a leash means? He might not understand forever home, but he understands that it means get freedom from living in a cage. A example of learning from seeing things repeated is my service dog. As a pup he witnessed me grabbing my inhailer when I'm gasping for air, colasping to ground, one day he ran to pick it up & brought it to me. It was b4 he had tranning on that task, he had just started his traning.
Came to the comments just to look for someone saying this 😂. Yeah its a lovely video, but that looks like a puppy doing what a puppy does. I dont think he saw the card and thought 'excellent, now im going to a new home'. He saw a new person (that was probably acting excited) and saw a new object he wanted to destroy 🤣
Always makes me think of Lady and the Tramp. The doggies all in lock up howling but actually singing there's no place like home. Oh god, even the memory can start me off. NO I'm not crying. Sobbing yes, not crying.
1.5 million shelter animals are euthanized each year in the US. Please consider adopting, fostering, or donating to your local shelter. If you can't do that please ask if there are volunteer options that you can partake in to help clean up after or help socialize possible adoptees in your area.
@@mandatorym_y_o_c_a_r_d_i_t_i_sMight be if he saw people having that card and taking the other dogs so it's just instinctual that he'll get out if someone flashed that card. I mean dogs can understand training with rewards probably similar
Nah I think its more like “oh shit, every time someone gets a card they disappear forever! Imma take it and get rid of it” . Fr tho i want a dog farm for wayward dogs, and children
I'M NOT CRYING YOU ARE CRYING!!! T__T i would be unable to only pick one animal from the shelter because they are all so excited and ready to go home with you 😭
This is a dumb question but is it that horrible there? Omg, my heart is breaking seeing the hopeful faces of the other dogs. But is it really terrible in those places?
@Andrew Kescenovitz. Sometimes I think dogs are way more intelligent than the average human. I had a non deaf dog once who understood sign language. Useful talent in situations where any sound could draw unwanted attention.
@ashina2118 try to look at the positive results. Unfortunately and extremely sad, you're right about abuse. But most people don't do horrible things to their pets. And thank goodness for all the wonderful people who love them like family.
Yeah! He said… me??? You want me??? Yeah, dis mine! You take me home and give me lots of love and treats and belly wubs?! I love you already, let’s go home and cuddle! Ahh, I can’t see, my eyes are full of water!❤
This breaks me. I just recently adopted a dog from a shelter. I wish I could have taken all of the animals. It saddens me greatly that people can leave/abandon a life that depends on them. The shelter was so bad at caring for the animals, my pup was severely getting bullied by the others with chewed ears and tail, also had intestinal parasites and so on. I can't stop thinking about the other poor animals there
If that shelter is struggling to properly care for those animals you should report that. They're likely accepting public donations and those people will be under the impression that those animals are well cared for. No animal should be getting adopted out if they're still ill, unless it's a lifelong condition, inexpensive and easily treated or they're going to a foster home. And if nobody goes to inspect that shelter and tells the team where they need to improve to avoid being shut down, then those rescued animals will continue to suffer.
It’s ok to lie if it’s a feel good story. Rather than it’s just something to chew. A real feel good story would be to adopt the dog who has been unadopted the longest, instead of the cute puppy. But I don’t blame you.
I'm not just crying because he got adopted.. I feel extremely bad for the other doggies just waiting for a home 😭💕 I hope they find a new family soon ❤
@@oat_meel dogs have proven time and time again they're intelligent. Biology books aren't everything when there's plenty of actual proof out there. You clearly aren't as bright as you think you are
My heart is still broken because all the other dogs look so excited for him to come just to find out there weren’t being adopted either 😭😭😭 Edit: I think I started world war 3 ☠️
You dont know why they've gone into adoption tho. Either death, financial difficulties, illness etc. One dog went in because of a house fire so dont be like that man
@@chuck3042 the thing that reaaaaally pisses me off is owners who buy some sort of doodle for $2k, hear from some BYB that “yOu dOn’T hAvE tO gRoOm iT foR tHe FiRsT 6 mOnThS” or some bs, let their dog get matted because they don’t brush it, then get pissed when they finally make an appointment at the groomer and come back to their dog shaved naked. Bonus points on the shit scale if they complain about it and say that they can’t afford good quality equipment (it’s a slicker brush and metal comb ffs), and/or they want a refund for the groom. Oh, and don’t forget the “you cut my dog!!1!” when he gets hematomas from the horrid matting that end up bleeding when he shakes his head too much
We will Never understand how beautiful this must be for him. This dog see so many other friends getting rescued but still hang there. He is intelligent enough to understand what the cards mean and damn, this guy doesn't only adopt a dog, he is saving a life and Is the reason this dogs dream come true. Thanks to all people who adopt animals and take care of them, you are heroes ❤
Hang on. How do the dogs in the shelter know it is a good thing? Every time they see a dog get the card, that dog leaves and never comes back. How do they know it is good????? I'd be horrified, or at least nervous. But not excited. XD
I’m not just crying about the main thing, i’m also crying over the dogs that were thinking they were gonna get picked😢 Edit: Wow 140 thank you guys! Edit 2: Im not gonna be like “mom im famous” just a thanks for 270 likes!
@@sallylemon5835 most shelters abuse their animals, neglect them, or put them on a timer. Some places give 6 days to get adopted then they put the animal down. Its sad really
It’s so amazing that this dog not only knows the card means he’s been adopted, but that being adopted is a *good* thing. From his perspective, dogs who get that card just vanish. And yet somehow he knows that better times are ahead
Because they don’t give off stress hormones at that time, the times I have gone to pick up dogs after meeting them once, and waiting until they were desexed they were excited before I even went into the back area to get them, I’m on my 5th rescue dog.
In reality the dog is probably just excited to see that person who works at the shelter. They take care of all the dogs there and socialize with them. The dog has no idea what happens to other dogs that leave. They just know a dog that was there has disappeared. In an animal shelter it could go either way- the dog is either adopted or euthanized. But the dog doesn’t know that. Dogs are smart but they’re not that smart. It’s still cute to see an excited pup but I’m surprised so many people think the dog knows what the card means.
