Even worse when you’re playing dva and you’re the only one trying to shoot the pylon but her guns only tickles it for years if you’re not facetaking it😓
You focused on the Dva way too much also. It's ok to give your team space when dva dives them but you punched/shot at her several times when she was chilling on cart. If you recognize situations where you could single out the healers or dps you'll get alot more value. @14:29 if you pause you hit the Sombra with your slam but then didn't bother to chase her. With how often she was hacking you and being a nuisance she is priority target #1.
How exactly do you play around a Sombra thats constantly hacking you as Doomfist? Seemed like he was about to explain it further but then got distracted by the Sombra killing herself.
PLay defensive and spy check. Always keep your supports in your peripheral. Assume the Sombra is behind you all the time so if you go into a dangerous situation you might die
Console players are routinely bad at dodging dva bombs I think because a lot of them are using TV speakers and can’t hear what direction they are coming from.
@@kingofgrim4761 true, but every time he went deep for backlines he got hacked and killed, so going for the dva was his safest way to not over invest and get killed instantly. He missed alot of opportunities to go for backlines, sure, but sometimes you just want the ult generation.
It's not ideal but the only other target on their team is illari. I think he could have shot illari more but for the other three characters, you can't reliably interact with them.
Lots of dooms seem to to parrot this 'slam in punch out' tactic for early fight poke. You use slam to hit as many as you can and get attention, immediately punch to dash back home (don't hit them with the unpowered punch) and loop that as 'poke' until you find a damage wave to power up punch. Pick a specific intentional target for power punch and use slam to quickly change position and punch at them sideways. I'm bad at doom and 'slam in punch out' wasn't enough of an explanation for me.
Does anyone actually think Sombra is fun to play against, who DOESN'T actually play her themselves? I swear the only people I ever see trying to defend her kit on reddit are the Sombra players themselves
I think sombra exists in a weird spot where she's a fun character to play as and can be fun to play against if you know her kit at least just as well as the person playing her. Anyone who doesn't play her much will probably not have fun playing against her.
7:38 "mouse and controller at the same time..." HEY THAT'S ME 😅 I've been thinking of eventually giving him a spectator vod, noting I play controller and mouse. Figured it'd be an interesting thing of note in light of my gameplay and what he can tell me I could improve on (currently estimated gold on all roles, borderline plat on support)
I am more of a support player, but when I do play DPS, I either Sombra or sim the other day I was playing a Match and we lost a humongous team diff It was very embarrassing. But then at the end of the game are Moria said if their team was better they could’ve carried.
going back to doomfist against pharmercy and sombra is certainly one of the decisions of all time. I'm not sure that punching the dva mech was as impactful as hoped. I know tanks complain about sombra but there's a LOT better choices against her if she's being really annoying
Honestly I think this player is just a lot better on doom than any other tank. They were kinda trying to play Dva like doom and you saw how well that worked.
Yes. The armor change made it so D.Va's damage is cut by 50% against a target with armor instead of the 30% it used to be for both her primary fire and micro missiles. The damage cut works out to a loss of approximately 30 damage per second for her primary alone and significantly reduces her MM burst damage. Winston's Tesla Cannon ignores armor's damage reduction so it was unaffected by the change. D.Va's spread buff doesn't help against Winston because he is such a big target that she wasn't really missing pellets against him prior to the buff anyway. The extra 10 damage on her boosters every 4 seconds doesn't make up for the damage lost on her primary fire and micro missiles.
@@claudiuspulcher2440that’s the problem. One single DPS pick shouldn’t counter an entire tanks kit, let alone every characters kit in the entire game. Sombra does nothing and gets immense value and Doom has to sweat his balls off just to not immediately explode. Tell me which character you think is the problem.
@@claudiuspulcher2440at this point sombra just counters tanks In general, unless its hog or oirsa and any hero that forces those tanks is terrible, I see it all the time where were all having a fun game and than their dps goes sombra and than my tank goes hog and than their tank goes orisa or mauga and now the whole games just a sht show. Making sombra fun to play, and easier to play without fixing her core issues was the worst decision they ever made in the history of this game 😂 Now people just pick sombra every dam game on console irrigadless of you picking doomfist or not, and it sucks so dam much, but they're never gonna fix her because HeRo IdEnTitY, so hopefully marvel rivals and concord doesnt make a sombra, those games will be peek if they just dont put an invisible auto aim cc using rat in their game lmao
@@claudiuspulcher2440 Yes picking Doom is a bad choice, but have you played Tank? Even if you swap to anyone but Doomfist, you're still going to get CC Bukkaked and will have a rough time. Yes, playing Doom already sets for a terribly difficult experience. Still, it so is the entire Tank Experience, and one of the bazillion causes of that is Sombra hack spamming tank strat.
Really hacking should never be so easy value of ability. Like if you want Tank experience to better against Sombra Tank Hack spam strat, lessen it's duration for Tanks, or give Tanks an additional ability, maybe key bound to either 1 or 2 on the keyboard, and this is either a barrier that you can plop on the ground like Widow's Hero version shield or a heal station like Soldier.
I'm still puzzled as to why invis-hack still exists and you have to put zero effort into it to get value, having a "Sorry tank you can't play" Button on cooldown. For a bronze doom, was better than I expected. Probably should be in silver.
@@NoitNoit-ef2yq bro, ive played games where a sombra on the other team hacks me mid ability so i cant do anything, but my team who are also behind me ignore the sombra, yes hack can be cancelled, but the cool down isnt that long and it auto aims for you, characters like doom get fully shut down by a hack, other characters dont. you have to be delusional to think hacking people as you come out of invis isnt powerful as fuck
@@trav8787 they weren't complaining about Hanzo. They were stating that hack only shuts down abilities for a couple of seconds and after that we can see the person we hacked through walls for a few more seconds.
If this person is new to the game, they will definitely climb. They just need to know when to cut their losses and swap off of Doom and practice some other tank that is effective against Doom counters like Sombra and Hog. As much as it pains me the recommend this travesty of a tank, maybe practice Mauga? Maybe Ram, I'd recommend horse but horse got nerfed hard.
As someone who likes to play Sombra, this one needed to wait and hack during your block IMO, and on that note I think you could pull up block sooner when you are caught in the backline and hacked. Sombra can't "re-hack" an enemy for a little while after doing it once without using EMP, so you have time to block as you wait to get your cooldowns back to disengage. I also saw the pylon on-screen often enough that I think you ought to be shooting that to destroy it, it heals the enemy at 40 hp per projectile now and will keep pace with your mid-range handcannon blasts. Use those shots to take down the pylon to negate that source of healing for an uncomfortably long time. Especially when your other teammembers are not in positions to do that themselves.
Lol. Like it matters when he hacks. It's like a 5 sec cd. You hack to stop punch/slam and to hit virus dam. Idk why you'd worry about hacking block unless your team is actively shooting him. 1v1 hack the punch. Sombra is a gag hero, almost as badly designed as mauga. Wait til they rework her again... lol.
@@freshbud6113 Well, to me, block is largely used to wait out the time until both the movement options come back, much like genji's deflect. If you hack right when doomfist throws himself in, you got about a 2 second window before he blocks and gets to wait for his mobility back. If you hack when he turns around and blocks then he either needs to cancel the block to stop you or just let it happen, and either way is vulnerable to you and your team for at least double that time. And yes, hack is a six second cooldown, but you can't hack someone again for eight seconds, outside of EMP.
@@Invisibleboy999 Except she’s not OP, she’s complete paper against anyone with the slightest amount of attention to their surroundings. So yes, get good
Any one who says Sombra requires little skill has never played Sombra in a mid to higher rank then. The second a Sombra comes out of invis, she's jumped on instantly. To get any value at all with her kit, you have to play so smart about your positioning, your escape routes, when to hack someone, when to virus. Especially with most heroes having escape abilities, just try keeping track of whats been used and what hasnt lmao... 😂
It sure is lol. I was slaying on tank and got into bronze 4. My ass got hard carried every single time on dps and I somehow got into silver 2(should be tree 1000 objectively). Not proud of it, it actually made me kinda depressed. Not that it's a huge difference in terms of ranks, shitty ranks anyways but still such a huge difference between expectations/reality.
A lot of factors at play in ranked. One of which is maybe they don't play enough matches to actually climb in a season. But the most likely is, it's not hard to "look good" when the other 9 players in the lobby only have their monitors on for half the game.
why does it feel like bronze 3 in asia are better against bronze in other regions, I only played in Asia, but watching bronze videos on yt, these guys seems brainded, but in my games they are always aware of everything.
@kingofgrim4761 pff sojourn is actually decent design. Bit of a stacked kit but not that bad. Recent small rework to her rail is solid af. Sombra can literally be invisible and turn off ults/ abilities mid use with an ability that will work around corners.... hack is bullshit broken. It's an absurdly short cooldown that can make it so other people cannot play the game at all. Nobody else had that without actual skill expression. ESPECIALLY doomfist.
