the sound of defeat when he actually rates it a 10/10 and just ends the vid without even calling us fuckers after struggling to find a flaw is just too fun to watch
I think he's a little bit offended after spending years dumping on trolls and basically all the other monstrous units and then this comes along and stomps all over that. Glorious indeed.
@@Sovann_the_Mighty Yepp thats true. They won't die even with 0 HP. But you need a lot of heroes to buff their leadership that high, that it won't fall below the threshold. So if your heroes get killed its over. And you really can just build one Army centered around the RoR Orks, while you can spam out the troll stack I guess.
Well Stone Trolls are one of the bigger sources of powercreep in the game, if you have them you should be putting 2-4 in every Greenskin stack anyway. They will absolutely carry you.
@@agreeable8255 mine still run at about 60-75 leadership once all is said and done, 3 troll units all you need as well as 2 good confident hero's which are not that hard to come by. Even as greenskins I definately do not have leadership issues with them but by then I'm not relying on trolls as much anymore.
@@jameswillis4482 It's a perfect memestack, no doubt. It's a shame you can only have one of them, but it seems like a perfect stack to have for giggleshits.
@@TheHalcyonTwilight Works out, because that one and this one aren't mutually exclusive. My goal next greenskin campaign is having da Immortalz memestack reinforced by these absolute units.
Well I mean if your expectation of Trolls is to run away from Goblins on Legendary Difficulty Steroids, then you'll be positively surprised more often than not !
Every time I listen to that song I get the strange urge to play clan skryre and fill my armies with poisoned wind mortars. Might be because I'm German.
@Berserking Bishop I sincerely hope you know the history behind "Attack of the Dead Men", if not , look it up! To be fair though, hellstorm rocket batteries are my favourite unit of the Empire's roster. YES. I love the Dawi and by now they could really use some more units. They really didn't get much love.
They're actually even better with the other Troll-boosting ingredient instead. It gives them Unbreakeable (which it mentions) and a second regen effect (which it doesn't mention but is definitely there). Regenerating twice as fast is such a huge boost to their survivability while Unbreakable handily solves any and all possible leadership problems.
Bold assumption that they could be that articulate. *Massive green explosion right in their faces* "Rrrrrrrrrrgh?" (Drools, vacant eyes staring in two different directions) "...Hurr" (Scratches ass, then licks his fingers as he literally pops a Skaven's skull in his other hand)
@@ArlanKels The doomrocket sucks against large creatures and deals magic damage so they also took 25% less damage. it probably deals only about 100 damage per entity it hits, so maybe 1200 damage per squad of trolls, whereas a squad of 100 infantry would take 10000 damage. (I have no idea how much damage it actually does but this seems to be a decent explanation that works with what I've seen.)
I think this is the first doomstack ive seen that had a battle with no loses using units and not single entities. Especially with the fact they used a warp bomb and a rocket on you and they still didnt die.
@@JustSome462 You don't need 18 special building to field out that dooms stack, so in my eyes, this is even better than Tor Gaval as you can get that out when you need it, not on turn 1000.
He has been warming up to trolls a long time ago, especially after he used them in the no mammoth campaign, he just never went a around and use the trolls with green skins, not that he plays much green skins in the first place.
@@JagEterCoola hmm not sure that's necessarily true. It's quite common for a doomstack to be faction specific (ie eltharion or sisters for example), but I can't think of any that are lord locked as hard as this one.
@@theStamax Eeeeeeh, that's debatable as well. The issue Is that most of the time, the builds 'exist' but they're not strong enough to register as true doomstacks. Then again, for some factions a single Lord is a doomstack, remember? I am terrible with names, especially with factions that I'm not interested in, but Legend had one where the angsty vampire boy was confederated by someone else and used the sword of khaine (Yes, I am that bad with names) to wipe out like 3 lategame empire stacks.
@@JagEterCoola it was Malus Darkblade, a Dark Elves lord, but yeah some lords can truly be a one man army (Vampire counts pretty much only rely on lords to win)
Their resistant to most magic (as well as the doom rocket) is actually much higher since missile resistance applies to it as well. Missile Resistance applies to all spells/abilities that hit in some way ... only direct damage is unaffected
I've been waiting for this doomstack for a while. 3:07 Those stone trolls just ate those Watp cannon blasts. 3:50 Stone trolls resist nuke. 11:30 Stone trolls absorb Rattling hub shots, I love Stone Trolls.
4:44 "You know what, we killed the artillery, soo let's go take a quick break." That is honestly such an Ogre thing to do. They kill some enemies, and decide it's time for a mid-battle kip and a snack. I know Ogres and Orks aren't the same thing, shush.
Okay, I had grown kinda bored of the campaign livestreams but now I want to see a greenskin stream. Trolls and unkillable black orcs. That sure changes up the formula!
Honestly, I think this stack just needs 2-3 Confident BOBB's. Either that or the unbreakable food recipe. Would reduce the chances of them routing by even more while also providing a couple other good effects.
I was really surprised how little damage those skaven cannons did to the trolls. Those resistances are no joke. The cannons actually only do 45% dmg to them (not counting armour)
Ok, I just created a similar army, but it was not as buffed in physical resistances as the one shown in this video as the guy had the biggest scalies trophy and I didn't have that at the time. Wasn't up against a 3 stack army but it was a single stack of Lizardmen who had a couple of dread saurians. What took me by surprise was how quickly the dread saurians melted once it was surrounded by these trolls. That monstrous disease bonus to large units is no joke.
before the nuke you have a battle line of trolls fighting scaven. after the nuke you have a load of bemused trolls wondering where all the scaven went.
Just FYI - Nukes don't seem to affect large creatures at all. Was playing VS with a friend about 6 months ago. I was Orcs, he was Skaven and did the exact same thing against my stone trolls. I had no idea so thought, "well shit, there goes the trolls", the nuke hits and.....nothing! (Yes I did shout Waaaaagghhh afterwards). Also tested it out on Shoggoths and again, nothing.
Greenskin factions are easy to merge into yours when you are defeating them. So make sure wurzag is alive when they allow you to and you might still be able to do it
Grom has one of the most fun campaigns in the game. The cooking mechanic is op, has a ton of variety and lets you turn Goblins into High Elves doomstack slayers. Plus, Grom has THE BEST voice acting in the entire game. I highly recommend doing one with him sometime. It's hilarious krumpin' the bigger stuntiez with a bunch of Goblins led by an obese Goblin obsessed with food.
Not to take anything away from this amazing setup but the fact that a significant amount of its power hinges on being commanded by a specific LL would be reason enough not to give it 10/10.
A troll army lead by wurzag that’s better then any troll army the troll king can make..... now that needs to be fixed 🤣 I hate throgg but he needs more trolls and better trolls or buff them to kingdom come!
