We stayed there in June of 2020, just when Vegas opened back up after COVID. We loved it! The casino is small, but the rooms and staff were great. A true hidden gem for sure. Thanks Jay
My Aunt and Uncle Uncle always stay at the Downtown Grand whenever they come to Vegas. It is a nice, quaint place. Triple George is awesome!! That creamed spinach is delicious!! Freedom Beat’s prime rib is also delicious and you can’t beat that price. We always feel comfortable at this property.
Thanks for this. Staying here in October for When We Were Young under a hotel package. As well, be there in May for Lovers & Friends. Best city this side of the world for festivals… fricken love Vegas. Lol
We stayed there in June, the pool was such a fun vibe and the drinks aren’t overpriced. I loved the room too. I just didn’t like that the casino isn’t very good and there aren’t a lot of food options inside of the hotel.
This is a good place for the money if you just want to be downtown very close to the action but a little bit away. It is also right next to the mob museum. It is a small little boutique hotel but it does have some table games with pretty low limits, slots, a few restaurants, a gym, and a rooftop pool which is better than most in the downtown area obviously after Circa and the Nugget. Basically it has everything you need without the high prices and its well maintained. When I stay downtown I normally bounce around and gamble at Circa, GoldenNugget, the D, Plaza, etc anyway. If you are looking for a full on resort this isn't the place. It is a good value for the money though and well maintained and still relatively new.
@Jaycation Couldn't we all? Haha 😄 We all have our ups and downs, but striving for health & wellness is a noble pursuit and a life-long journey that's well worth the effort, 🩷 because without our health we have no life. Keep being awesome Jaycation! 🫶 & thanks for the response 🙂
Great review! Downtown is really turning around with some very nice properties! If you’re into Vegas history, I would recommend you find time for the Mob Museum. It really is pretty cool and worth the time! 😉👍🎰🎲🌴🌴
I played at the Downtown Grand when it first opened several years ago and got excellent Comp offers within a matter of days. Planning on checking out the Mob Museum later this year.
Stayed there last summer, my favorite place to stay in downtown. They have 3 towers and have their own restaurants across from their hotel. Not croweded, either.
I just got back from staying at this hotel and it's nice and clean. Great location for groups that want to hit the crazy Fremont Experience. With all the eating options walking distance away the hotel doesn't need food options except for what it has. I do have to say that they have 3 elevators and only one worked occasionally. We had to use the service elevator. The escalator going up was not working too! Away from that the Hotel and the pool area was great!
This hotel looks nicer than the Lady Luck that was here. A lot of dubious characters used to hang out here. Lavassa coffee is very good. Am a new subscriber and hit the like button. Will look forward to your other videos.
My 1st visit to Downtown Grand May, 2024. Everyone was polite & friendly. Although I did not win, I had fun. 2nd visit to Downtown Grand, July 2024, the staff was very rude. From the Players club, restaurants, casino floor and poor service. I highly doubt I will pay them another visit.
Do you feel like vegas is becoming more family friendly 🤔? I heard what you said about the arcade at bally old sport book. Just want to know your opinion Jay.
I've been to Vegas countless and have never stayed at any hotel in downtown. I'm in the minority but I never liked going to that section of the city. The last time I was in downtown Vegas was way back in 2017 and I hated it. Lol!
You might like it even less now 😂, it’s hoenslty my preference, so everyone’s preference is difference. If you ever wanna dip your toes into downtown again, circa is a very good start, with a connected parking garage and modern mega resort amenities
I stayed there last summer. It’s a good place, affordable but I would only stay there if you are visiting downtown especially. I stayed at Wynn first then headed to downtown grand. Obviously a big difference between the two but on my last day I was just going to visit downtown. The mob museum is a must. Especially if you wanna get away from the heart at over 100 degrees.
