This is a beautiful stitch. Looks so easy. If I was to make a baby blanket out of this stitch, what is your recommendation for how many many chains.

I love this pattern and am having a great time crocheting it since I learned the stitce. You have beautiful patterns. I am a quilter prayer quilts at my church so I am hoping this will turn out well enough to give instead of a quilt. I think your thread is not as heavy as mine and Hobby Lobby carries Yarn Bee Soft Cotton Chunky yarn I have used but found out they have the same yarn in a lighter weight. I may try another one of your blankets in that thread unless I can find the thread you use. It is shinner than mine and really beautiful, I love your site and may join it for the year after I finish this blanket. Thank you for this great site and video.

I want to use 4 different colors.... would you suggest doing 2 rows one color and changing? The colors are white, mint green, light peach and dark grey. Its for my future grand baby lol not sure if its a boy or girl yet but I feel like I should be doing something 😂 I will edge it in white popcorn stitch or something along those lines, but definitely white edging. Thanks!! I adore this pattern!

These type websites are not too good for me because I forget to go back in to the site and look so I would not be interested in the $48 per month for patterns. I have finally figured out what to do on RU-vid by slowing it way down. I am 80 yrs. old and ADD so it takes me a while to understand a pattern. The RU-vid really works great for me. Please let me know what I an going to do for the $4 per month. Thank you so much for your patients.

I signed in and at the top it says "Go Premium" so I clicked on that where a white page comes up and says "Upgrade to Premium and start creating with exclusive patterns." Then a block that says YEARLY. MONTHLY. Then it says in a box Summer mega sale $288 crossed out $48 billed yearly (83% off). Under that $24 crossed out $4/month. Get Premium. Please just cancel that if it went through . It has not shown up on my credit card yet so I don't know what has happened.

I used a super soft blend yarn. You can certainly use Bernat Blanket, which is perfect to finish quickly, but the finally risult will be a little different. 😊

Is this stitch the one I have heard is also known as the "Cat Stitch??" I didn't notice it at first, but after the blue row went on top, and the work was straight on the screen, each tiny white piece looked like a kitty face! I can see the 2 eyes and it looks like the 2 ears sticking up?? I have tried to find the "Cat crochet stitch," but always end up with a RU-vid "sign" that says the video is private or not available. Just wondering GIF this is it!! It is sure cute!!but was

It’s always confusing to me whether to chain one or two chains at end of rows. Is there a rule for that?

It really depends on the stitch you're working and the pattern itself. When your starting chain replaces the first stitch, it should be as tall as that stitch would be. Usually, for single crochets, you chain 1, but for taller stitches like half double crochets, you chain 2.
