The hot wheels b-roll goes so insanely hard, wow.. Just when I thought this channel couldn't get any more sick. Also, LOVE the admission that taking 3 minutes to clean the rice cooker was an insurmountable task.. Same Josh.. Same.
I just want you to know that you are a GODSEND for this series. I have lost so much weight with your recipes and I recommend your channel to anybody that's looking to meal prep tasty and healthy foods
Just made this slightly modified: - Did 1lb ground chicken and 1 can of chickpeas instead of 2lbs chicken - Used coconut milk instead of water in the curry Its really good! Thanks Josh!
"my rice cooker was dirty and the 3 minutes it would have taken to clean it sounded like one of the worst things that could happen to me" I feel so seen yet so called out at the same time
Getting the wrong item from an Amazon delivery can be amazing. One time I ordered a CD and received the complete Bruce Lee collection instead. Definitely a better tradeoff.
Since you add quite an Indian touch to your cooking & you seem to enjoy flavor, here's a little tip. Add a little bit of cumin seeds (not powder), a couple cardamom and a small cinnamon stick when you add water to your rice. This will 100x the rice!
I've been making a curry meal prep throughout covid and the amount of flavor from those spices make it feel like a cheat meal. I'll either steam some broccoli and cauliflower or microwave a potato for it depending on my calories. Add a dollop of plain greek yogurt to make it extra creamy. Anything stewed or sitting in a sauce get better as the week goes on.
That ending hahaha. Been following you ever since i saw your buffalo chicken rice recipe. Used many of your recipes since, and I've loved your videos for how you get straight to the point and your humour. Always lots of great content crammed into a short video, not just the recipe itself but some good tips along the way. I feel I've become a much better cook overall from watching you so thanks for that!
I usually don't cook the rice. After the water boiled, wrap it in whatever heat insulation (cast iron IMO should be enough on its own) and let it sit. Same result yet +10-15 mins, but no chance of overcooking / burning (and technically somewhat cheaper to make but that's a whatever amount of heat I guess).
@@Badmunky64 or any thrift store for $5. My cheap little thrift store cooker with just a switch is leagues ahead of my big ass more expensive one with like 20 buttons and settings
chicken (or vegetable) stock instead of water, using storebought cubed stock is fine :) Adding 120 to 150g of unsalted nutts to this dish for heart health and a bit of crunch. For curries I prefer a peanut and almond mix but you do you.
Ok. I always watch your videos. The hot wheel demo just seals the deals just like blooming the spices in this meal prep. I'm gonna take out my ninja and make some ground chicken and make this puppy. I best stop at a Walmart to pick up some hot wheels. Gotta stay true to your example! ❤❤❤😂😂😂😂
for the rice you can add bay leaf, cardamom pods ,whole black pepper and cloves to give fragrance to the rice, just make sure to remove them before portioning
When doing your written guides on your website, is it possible to ask for a "full shopping list" so if an ingredient is used in two different parts of the recipie, it's easier to shop for with a "combined" list aswell. I enjoy your videos and look forward to trying some of the meals out, but my head gets overwhelmed easily when I have to translate ingredients and find out if it's in more steps than one so I give up before I even get started. Know that's a "me" issue, but I find you inspiring anyway, and want to try out your meal prepping ways, I seem to never find a way to incorporate veggies for my own meals. So finding inspiration in something healthy and good looking like your meals is great. Hope it can become an option, or someone can help me with an easier way to make the list. Keep up the work! love your videos! And best of luck in the future
You may have found a solution by now, but just in case you haven’t, if you add the recipe(s) to your collection, you can then go in and create a shopping list which has all the ingredients listed as well as the quantity/amount needed.
Cool recipe, I'm going to prepare it today. Also I hear ya on the garlic shortcut, I use jarred often but also a garlic press can mince cloves real quick without having to peel.
I’ve been wanting to get a food processor and this helped me make that decision as there’s no ground chicken at the grocery stores I usually go to. Anyways, I made a small portion of the chicken curry to try it out and it’s delicious, some peas and maybe coconut milk would make this tastier BUT the way made here is definitely healthier with just the right amount of calories I’m going for, it is slightly too spicy, could it be the cayenne pepper or some of the other seasonings, I think I can handle the heat but toning it down would be better. Thanks for the recipe!
I've been watching your channel for a while and love that you show both units of measurement. Do you eat the same food for 5 days straight? I consider meal prepping so I can save both time and money but not sure if I can give up the variety. Any suggestions or tips is greatly appreciated!
I meal prep and freeze half. That way I can cycle in other foods or meal prep 2 things and switch it up over the next few weeks. After about 3 weeks of doing this I have a good variety of food ready in the fridge as well as in the freezer ready to be thawed. Idk if that would help you but it works for me!
@@foxxxyg this is actually an incredible idea. I am a serial meal prep giver upper around Wednesday to Thursday. Unfortunately I also can’t be assed to cook on week night evenings either (and with the new job I have it’s legitimately become a lot harder). Still, I’m going to bookmark this idea in the back of my mind.
Dude another comment. Brain fried today and needed to meal prep. This was perfect! Love curry dishes, too. Thanks to you I was not a cry-ass today. Well, not too much. 🤪
Hot wheels needs to sponsor you ASAP. I forgot how much I used to love those things as a kid even though it was just pure marketing through the TV ads baiting me as a 7 year old.
I'm weird I love food cold - I thin it has more flavor. I eat all the meals I prep cold 90% of the time. But thanks for this new recipe I will be truing it out next week as this week is your Buffalo chicken rice bowl
After eating my dish without the cilantro i can confirm, the cilantro should not be considered optional when you're in the store...Becaues you will have to go back so you can have the cilantro the rest of the week...
The one I had was a menace to wash which ends up using more time and energy. It was only really worth using if I was making something in bulk with a LOT of garlic.
When it clipped the last meal and caused a minor rice explosion is the hardest I've laughed at something so incredibly stupid in a while. God bless this manchild
i love how normal people praise celantro and "strongly recommend" using it for flavour, and then there are us with the unlucky gene just trying to survive whenever this cursed thing is being cut anywhere near us.
Josh, love the content, love the recipe; but you're not foolin anyone on this "Amazon _accidentally_ sent me this Hot Wheelz track" business. 😂 Loved the B-roll still!
@@TheMealPrepManual Well, I made it, used oil and just kinda eyeballed the ingredients since I had no measuring device but my God it came out good, this absolutely slaps.
Bruh, I love your simple lazy no holds barred approach to this stuff! But I gotta ask, you got JA Henkels game on the knives and storage, you got La Crueset on the pot... but you still got that janky induction cooker you hate so much? bruh, who we gotta tag to get you sponsored with something better? lmao
