Nikita Kucherov continued his trend of grabbing empty netter goals to pad his stats, this time picking up a hattrick with 2 empty netters! That and more in today's NHL hockey video! Hurricane Relief: www.bapscharit...
Ohhhh damn that was some wicked dark humor with the "Scheduling Tampa to play the Hurricanes" bit. I'm going to hell for laughing, i'm sorry. Seriously though, hope the people of Tampa have better days coming ahead of them.
Tampa, affected by a hurricane, played the Hurricanes, a team from Carolina, which was the immediate previous region to be affected by a hurricane a month ago. That's some weird shit, and I'm not even putting blame on the NHL, these schedules were made months ago.
@@Hawaii96720 Rugby is lacking in the "skill" department. It's more strategy and physicality. I'd probably soccer is in that boat, but the players can be some real P words.
As a hurricanes fan, that was absolutely hilarious. Great game, could have gone either way. The only canes line working was our third line, the only line that played together in the preseason. Seems there might be something to this chemistry theory.
To be fair he lowkey earned it. Almost no one else was generating offense like he was. Set up Point for the tying goal, blasted the go ahead goal, and that’s not mentioning all the chances he created that didn’t go in. He was a one man wrecking crew tonight and 1 goal and 1 assist doesn’t describe how well he played. So yeah, let him feast on the open net.
as a tampa fan, this is hilarious. he’s my favourite player so i’m happy he had 1g 1a besides the empty nets. we put him out there not to stat pad but because of his iq being able to get the puck out or pass to someone open
Or, as the evidence showed us, sit at the far blue line while the puck is below his own goal line and wait for someone else to get the puck out and make the pass to him. I love Kuch but that was bad. I hope he wins the scoring title by one point now.
@@dannycarlow8204i mean, they had clear possession and they weren’t under any pressure. and it worked… Idk people who don’t watch every game don’t realize he’s actually good defensively
@@nathanembro3693 I never said he wasn't good defensively, just that this particular goal looked bad. Don't look into it any deeper than that. When even the announcers are calling you out, it's bad.
People don't understand. He isn't a emptynet merchant, he just has a very high hockey iq. He knows where the puck is going. He plays the game alot like Gretzky did. No he isn't as good of coarse, but he plays the same style with a very high hockey iq. Generational talents like Gretzky, Lemieux, Orr, Crosby and McDavid have a very high hockey iq plus a very, very high skill level. That is what makes a generational talent what they are. Kuch has one half of that equation, the hockey iq part. Not quite as much skill as the previous players mentioned. But he is getting better on the skill part with each passing year. His skill set is very unique to say the least.
It was a bush league play, but also a cunning play. You can't always worry about trying to work hard, sometimes you gotta be ok with being the villain. If the Hawks had a cherry picker in the final minutes vs the Jets they could have iced the game, but instead they couldn't put the Jets away and ended up losing in OT.
Something NHL fans will never understand is that if you play full speed the whole regular season, you're prob gonna be injured or super sore come the playoffs. Coasting sometimes, should at least logically help win the marathon of the regular season.
Canes were so off tonight, passing were sloppy, lines need more time to get in sync, and the puck was bouncing all over the place. Also they need to play PK, Freddie looks half asleep or needs a nap, looks like he picked up right where he left off in the playoffs…At least I have Kucherov on my Fantasy team.
I'll give him SOME credit, he was the weak side winger on that last one so if anyone could cheat for an empty net, its him. But still he was WAYYYY out there lmao
So true. His MVP snub is a complete joke. You had 11 voting members who did not put him in the top 5. Not even nominated. And he had the second best season in the NHL salary cap era. Their reason, for his performance at the skills competition. Compete joke, farce.
I mean the home opener for There’s a potential third one in Lindsey that’s on watch. We have a potential whole family of karen storms going on here. Tampa plays Carolina three times this season. Might be Apollo choosing the NHL this time to smack in the back of the head with a dodgeball.
"Loafing, Floating, or Cherry Picking in ice hockey is a manoeuver in which a player, the Floater, literally loafs - spends time in idleness - or casually skates behind the opposing team's unsuspecting defencemen while they are in their attacking zone."
0/4 on the powerplay bruh, Carolina’s special teams is known for selling. Refs even stopped calling penalties on you guys for a bit when there were 2 trips on the same shift
@bodhithomas5684 we shouldn't have been called as much as we were. Anyone could see that, I'm not saying our kill or pp were cooking I'm saying that there should not have been a call on orlov for that "hook" it was all puck. Bull shit stop coping clean up from that hurricane
@@isaacl.6536 hockey team got cooked so bad lil bro gotta bring up natural disasters, Kucherov owns your mid team. 10 points last 2 times he pulled up to Carolina
