That terminology only applies to engines with 2 or 4 cylinders per bank. All inline 5 engines and all v10 engines have 5 crank throws spaced evenly at 72 degrees. The same is true for I3, V6, I6, and V12 engines. All have crank throws spaced at 120 degrees, with very few exceptions (triumph 900 triple, Laverda 3C)
