Best kind of prank. Didn't hurt anyone. Didn't humiliate anyone. Easy to laugh at, easy to do.

I'm gonna assume when his dad just casually said "Take a front end loader" and he was wearing a CAT hat that his dad either rents out these machines or works in construction of some sort

I thought it was a great prank, but that last line was what made me really laugh! "We're pretty sure those tickets were a prank, but the only way to find out is to, uh, ignore them."

Our senior prank was 9 pickup truck loads of used car and truck tires that we "borrowed" from behind the local Goodyear tire which was located 1.5 miles from our high school. Between 3 a.m. and 5 a.m. two of us in the back as my friend drove were tossing tires from both sides of the truck covering all 3 soccer and baseball fields, entry road, teacher parking area and the main entrance itself (on the way out) School opened 2 hours late that day, it was the talk of the school. They suspected but we never got caught. :)

at our rural area high school the seniors drive their farm tractors to school on last day. Usually 20 or 30 of them

Awesome! A prank that wasn’t destructive and major kudos to the school staff on how they handled it. My class’s senior prank over 50 years ago was collecting as many of the realtor for sale signs as we could find around town (small town) and put them in the front yard of the school.

The kid should have asked if there were any large quantities of dirt or stone the school needs moved around while it was on site and available.

I graduated a year early cause reasons but a boy in the class I was suppose to graduate with (class of 05) drove himself and his girlfriend (now his wife) to senior prom at our High School on a large John Deere Tractor. His tux was John Deere Green and her Dress was Yellow. Parked that shiny old tractor right among tnose limos. Made the headline of the paper that week too. Paper said that was the most expensive vehicle there. Everyone loved it anf it's still mentioned locally to this day and in online comments like this. They still love to talk about it too and they still jave the old tractor under the shed at their house. I know. I am their neighbor. I am not saying what town or county we are from but I will say this, West Tennessee.

My senior class filled the main office, to the ceiling, with pumpkins a day or two after Halloween; it made the national news.

My *first* senior prank (as a high school teacher) was when the seniors took a tarp, strung it between some stone benches that faced each other in a small circle, filled it full of water, and added a bunch of feeder goldfish. unfortunately, it got close to freezing, and the water leaked out, so all we ended up with was icy water with dead goldfish. It wasn't pleasant.

One of the boys I grew up with is a few years older than I am (I'm currently 16 and he's 19) and for his prank last year he brought a tractor to school! It's all anybody would talk about all day!

This reminds me of the photo with the Ferrari owner who parked in the middle of 2 spaces so he wouldn’t get scratched, but he had 2 parking passes though and put one on each side of the car

I grew up in the rural south and we used to take tractors to school. We even had a tow truck that would tow the assistant principal's car with every once in awhile!

We have a local school that is surrounded by farms and luckily has a very big grass field. Every year the roads get flooded with senior students driving various farm equipment to school. When it was banned a lot of the parents allowed their kids to bring the sports cars the parents had to school since the principal was super snooty about his Corvette. We had a game there and it was amazing to go to this farmabilly high school and see the senior parking lot filled with various super cars and they even put the best ones surrounding the parking spaces around the principal. It was absolute gold.

We planted a 30 ft tree on the centre line of the football field with a backhoe.....

I swear everyone out there is cool. If it was done here in the Midwest they woulda been so pissed.

Man I was trynna plan this with my works front end loader for my last day of senior year, but then COVID hit. So cool to see someone did it

My high school had a student car show every year. In grade 11 I drove my fathers tractor to school, one of my friends brought a backhoe, and another brought a john Deere ride on mower. The backhoe won the prize against some cars that were actually kinda cool. In grade 12 I brought my off road lawn tractor and won the prize that year.

When I was in HS we towed an old VW to the senior parking lot after midnight and flipped on it's roof. It hadn't been registered in so long the cops had no idea who it originally belonged to.

I live in a small farming town and behind our school we have a barn for the agriculture kids and kids who ride their horses to school. Me and a couple of my friends, who are cattle ranchers, and I'm a hay baler, fed the cows in there a bunch of hay, and then herded about 10 of them into the school 2 hours before it opened. Ended up getting the school closed for the day because we put two of the cows into the principal's office and there was cow shit pies all over the school and office

"I'm Chris Hansen, why don't you have a seat? Do you know how young that front end loader is?"

As a loader operator I watched this with much joy

We have tractor day where I’m from so this just seems normal to me, not a prank. 😆 In HS, every year we had 1 day to drive our tractors. Obviously, a lot of us had a variety of tractors if we made a day out of it. But if you didn’t have one, a friend would hook up a trailer and haul ya! Or drive your lawnmower 🤷‍♀️ I still have a news paper photo of myself at age 16 sporting carhart overalls, a red bandana and braided pigtails 🥱 20 years later and I can’t say I don’t still sport this look while out on the tractors, just added 2 little boys in carharts.

To those talking about how the tickets wouldn't have to be paid: Law enforcement aren't the only ones who can give tickets. Just because it's not a ticket backed by law enforcement doesn't mean that it does not carry any weight. For example, it can keep a student from graduating. Add it on to the student fees and they won't get their diploma until it's paid. A side note: if an officer does take post at the school, which isn't uncommon in the United States, and that officer is the one who issues the tickets, then it's completed unrelated when, where, or why it was issued.

We always drove tractors to school. Trust me, with the duals on, they took up more than 4 spaces! But it's great that everybody took it in the good fun it was meant to be . Great school and great principle !

I would like to point out the loader only took up one parking space. It is a single vehicle. Unless the size of the space is specifically defined in the rules for the parking permit one vehicle takes up one parking space. One vehicle under the Vehicle Code can be a combination of vehicles. An example is a crew cab dullie pulling a six horse trailer is as much a single vehicle as a “Smart Car”. The bigger problem might be that it does not have a license plate.
