The biggest note here for Teru is that right in this episode, at this point, Teru surpassed Mob. The fight isn't the only thing that is a call back to their first fight. The result is too. And the result is where Teru surpasses Mob. If you go back and watch episode 5, the final result of the fight was Mob losing control and essentially destroying his surroundings. That's why he repairs the school, because it's his feeble attempt at redemption as he calls it. This episode, Teru is put in that position and even when he was passed out, instead of destroying, Teru saves everyone in the town. The result of the fight is directly opposite of the first Mob vs Teru fight. Teru surpasses Mob by keeping a cool head, saving instead of destroying even in an unconscious state of mind and at the same time, Teru saves Mob from any regret he might have felt over lost lives. This show is so amazingly written. The confession arc is AMAZING

That's a weird way to use Teru surpasses Mob. I mean, the contrast in comparisons between the 2 of them from the first fight and then them playing opposite roles for the 2nd fight. For sure is well written. But to say he surpasses Mob because he was able to have mob do less damage the stay level headed during the fight is poorly worded. Just say you're a Teru fan bro lol 😅

u notice even his body is muscular comparing to season 1. he learns all the good things from mob. dont hurt ppl with power, dont rely only on power. he is mob's best rival, frd, and disciple.

@@neito.m.6741 but he does. Teru does surpass Mob in terms of his psychological stability and acceptance of himself at this SPECIFIC point. That is literally what the entire show is about. It's not a raw power struggle

also, teru has a great development throughout the series and he’s nearly always the FIRST one stepping in when there’s danger. out of all the characters, he’s the most invested and ready to face any obstacles, all this thanks to mob. he would be a great hero in opm

3:00 The music is from a signal for pedestrian. Not all of them, but some of signals play that music in Japan, especially for visually impaired people when it turns green. So the music emphasized that it was green for Mob and the boy.

not sure if it has been explained since your finished , but basically mobs body got badly hurt but hs mind is on autopilot with the 1 goal of giving her the flowers no matter what. (short version of it) the manga had a narrator which is missing here so it is confusing as to why he just started going on a rampage like this

11:44 Carlie is laughing, and in part that scene was supposed to be a joke as well, but let's think about it for a minute - food that's a couple of hours old and still perfectly good to eat gets thrown into the trash because "we can't serve this to our customer" while hundreds of millions of people are suffering from famine with countless kids dying every day from it. I'd say that's pretty dark, and it's 100% real. One side of the world is living wastefully while the other one has to endure unspeakable suffering.

8:55 that was a callback of their first fight in S1. Mob called Teru just an average person. Teru is doing the same, because, even if Mob is too powerful he's not fully capable of controlling himself, and also, other topic that will be the main conflict in this arc.

For me Carl Jung writings on the "shadow self" perfectly summarize the main theme of this series and the arc of Mob. The reason he is on auto pilot is that he isn't in control, at least not the Mob we know. The side of himself that he neglected since early childhood is what has control and you see the kind of destruction that can wreak, especially in the case of Mob. Obviously this is an exaggerated example via story telling, but this is actually pretty accurate to real life and what happens to a person who doesn't put in this kind of effort with themselves and the inner personal battles we all face.

I love how they show Mob losing control in the comic, but I prefer the comic’s version. In the comic, the shadowed psychic version of Mob slowly rises with the flowers and say “I knew the time would come… where I would be needed”

That's how ???% works. When Mob is unconscious, ???% appears. I don't know why Bones didn't put this time the signal indicating the state, but I think that's something you realize quickly

Something you can realize is how his brother was scared of making Mob getting hurt and cry, and mob is like Professor X an power capable of killing everyone if he loses control, same is for poor mob, he was always like that a danger, a bomb that if it gets exploded it's over. Mob overpowered others, but never himself. All throughout the series mob had to fight against himself. He needed to face himself and the emotions he's feeling. He faced one by ome and now he should face the final boss.

15:55 His introduction wasn't the nicest, but then again can you imagine what would have happened to the guys Suzuki supposedly knocked out without as much as a sliver of his power if they went up against Mob? Chances are they would have died imo. So in a sense - assuming Suzuki didn't kill them - he saved them from dying and Mob from becoming a murderer for now.
