Points like this I imagine were too meaningful to use. My theory would be that it was given up as an offering/part of a cache somewhere. Either way we will never know anything except that thousands of years ago, a very talented paleo flint knapper walked those same grounds

You have to wonder if the same person that made it actually lost it. Maybe he made those and traded them for something else. Maybe that's why it was so well made, because he had made many of them. Makes you wonder about all the history behind it. Who it was that made it and used it, when it was made. How it was lost. I found one about the same size in 6 feet of water in 1960 when I was a kid. It has two white stripes on it. I dove down and saw the stripes. Found it without a mask.
