Lol i have 2 positions for pinky, in, and out. I have a restricted tendant that doesnt allow it to straighten. (Also why i quit/held off playing guitar since teen years.) Sure wish I would have kept playing anyway.

I actually find the ring finger to be the easier than the middle finger. Once you anchor that shit, my brain just unconsciously lift it up if I'm placing my ring then pinky which kinda annoying

Of course it rings because the pinky frets the string and does not mute it. That's why it's 3 times the same note I know, 1 year old but....

Okay it's probably a stupid question but are you picking the string that your finger is anchored to on every step? I hope that makes sense. Noob guitarist here lol Update: I guess you are only picking 3 notes per string so I guess the anchored finger is not part of any notes.
