I have experienced the very same thing! I went under covers and prayed The Lords Prayer. When I dared look again, it was gone. Ever since then, I pray daily and especially The Lords Prayer, Hail Mary and The Holy Rosary! Very powerful.

Same happened to me at a hotel. Nobody else experienced it. I attribute it to the doubt I had at the time. I feel it was feeding off fear and would trick me into falling asleep and having a fake dream where I woke up multiple times to feed off my fear. I was paralyzed with fear until I had enough and mustered enough will to use God’s name and it vanished and I fell asleep until morning. I feel it was influencing my dreams which is why I can’t write it off as a nightmare

Imagine this tho: demons are personalities without bodies, does it mean he can conzrol your personality? When I was around three I saw outside my crib on the left corner a dark figure and immediately I saw a figure full of light and love appeared on the right corner, as if saying you cannot approach her. And years later when recalling this I realized it was my guardian angel. My mother's help praying every night to my guardian angel made the difference probably or her prayers, she is devout catholic and prays all through out the whole day for us. It took me decades to erase the evil figures apearence or sense of it. Years later one day I felt a road opening in front of me that was not good and immediately a road open parallel to this one that felt good as my guardian angel saying you don't have to take that road you have this option too. And then I made the option to the good road. Years later I saw my guardian angel beside my bed. And many years after I saw angels in my living room above after I had consecrated my home to Sacred heart of Jesus and blessed heart of Mary and some time after that I saw angels above the Holly Eucharist in church at the moment of the consecration. So I believe what you say.

"Take this in memory of me" and the priest says an other prayer blessing the bread wafer (eucharist)... A line forms and ppl walk up to the priest who then says "The body and blood of Christ" and u say "Amen" and the eat the eucharist. You're supposed to do a sacrament called communion to be able to go up and do it. I've been fighting addiction and depression for years. I'd lay in bed coming down from cocaine and the only thing that kept me sane was saying the Our Father and Hail Mary. My mom was excited about the hype about the exorcist and since she could not go out ever having 4 kids she took us all to the movies so see it. I might have been 11 and my brother 13. We did't think it was that scary but we did get a kick out of it bc at some point in the movie the girl gets possessed and floats while wearing that white gown. The theater thought it would be fun to turn off all the lights and have a mannequin with a white gown on cables float out from the direction of the screen. The grown ups ran out screaming and some crying. Somebody yelled fire at the same time and my mom grabbed us all and started running out. Before we got to the exit door they told us it was false alarm. The manequin was just hanging and my brother and i thought it was the funnies dumbest thing ever.

I've read a few books and watched shows on paranormal in healthcare and LE. One story I found so interesting (I'm sort of paraphrasing because it's been several years since I'd heard it) An officer picked up a woman who was having some sort of mental crisis. For some reason he had to stand guard outside of her hospital room. Something in him told him to pray for her so he did. He prayed in his head not aloud. Every time he'd start to pray she'd come to the door and ask "are we good?" over and over. He'd reply to her then after awhile go back to praying. She'd once again start up with "are we good?". After awhile it became clear that she would only do this when he was praying. She was trying to interrupt him from praying. Anyway, lots of other strange stories. I always sleep on my side but for some reason or another I woke up on my back looking directly up and there was a creature clung to the ceiling looking at me it's head was moving in a snake like motion. I was screaming inside immediately but nothing came out of course until i pulled the strength out of me to scream help me help me help me and friend came running in to soothe me saying it was only a dream. It was a long night I cried alot. I thought to myself all those times i had sleep paralysis on my side that thing was above me the whole time. I haven't got sleep paralysis since only in the odd nightmare. Did you ever see anything when you got it.

I don't doubt your experience, but I do doubt your grandmother's interpretation of how a demon entered. I have had many encounters with demons, and the most vivid ones are when I'm lucid dreaming (fully aware of what's going on, but inside a dream) when a demon attempts to manipulate me through my dream. Regular demons try to prompt a fear response, whereas an incubus/succubus rely on sexual energy. So if watching a scary movie makes you at all fearful, you potentially attract a demon to yourself spiritually. I can't explain the physical things that happened to you such as the tv being off and the door, however my guess is you yourself turned the tv off and have no recollection of that due to the tired state you were in, and demons can make any noise happen in the state between awake/asleep, just as they can manipulate dreams. I watch horror movies because I'm a fan of them (and I don't get scared because I'm very aware of the behind the scenes/how horror movies are made thus breaking the illusion) and in my deep dive from Western horror to Japanese horror to Korean horror I have no invited any demon through. What about movies that are scary to some but not to others? Is it objectively a portal that a demon can go through? Of course not, because the tv and film are irrelevant, it's the effect it has on a person that makes a difference.

I've seen plenty of UFOs in my life in the form of silvery orbs and lights, but only on LSD (which I only did a few times, when I was younger) I saw that orange fireball. Since then, I've seen UFOs reported as orange fireballs. I'm guessing they're the "Fire in the Sky" type of aliens, human harvesters. Maybe they were just after some deer, IDK. After it landed in the woods, we went about our business, half assuming it was just a hallucination (though I knew better already).
