This Extremely Ambitious Survival Game Really Surprised Me... Vein

Ever since I was very young I have always loved the way deer move, the way they kind of leap and bound with each stride and how graceful they look when they jump a hedge row or fence line. There's a ton of deer where I grew up so whenever I saw one I enjoyed just standing there for a moment and watching them run away. They actually captured that movement quite well, as far as I can tell from that 1 or 2 seconds he was moving across your screen anyway. They could dial it in a bit more but at this stage of development it looked quite nice! It really bothers me when devs make deer run like a damned horse or something lol

Id love to see where this game goes. I am hopeful they continue to expand upon this. Good stuff really. The zombie genre will "never die"

The class list kind of reminds me of Project Zomboid. Really the whole searching makes me think that too. I mean, a first/third person PZ would be amazing to me. I might have to try out the demo. It says it is supposed to end up being a multiplayer only game but I hope it can be played offline too.

Interesting to know that in the event of an apocalypse foster would just become a porch pirate, fighting through the streets just to see what’s in his neighbors Amazon package

I LOVE how detailed this is already. I would like to see a zombie game happening right during the outbreak so nothing is looted but chaos everywhere.

This reminds me of a 3D version of Zomboid, which is a 2.5D (isometric) version of Cataclysm: Dark Days Ahead, (Free 2D turned based). I highly recommend trying either of the above mentioned games. I personally think you would love CDDA. Also, "Chicken Broth, drink it!" Absolute mad lad lamo

This has huge potential if they can get more people on board with funding. Unfortunately all of these kinds of games usually die off because people lose interest or there isn't enough content fast enough. Mist is also an amazing and ambitious game but I'm sure it's going to be in development for multiple more years. Same with 7 days to die. In my opinion the best thing you can do for your game is stay in contact with your players, release consistent updates, respond and implement feedback, and add modding support as soon as possible. Mods will keep your game alive while you take your time to develop it further. Also a lot of the time modders will offer their services or mods to be added to the game which is awesome! This is on my wishlist, along with about 10 others similar haha. I'm getting a new gpu soon so hopefully I'll be able to play all of these early access games at 4k! I think this game has great potential and the fact that you can interact with almost everything around makes it more how it would actually be. I hope the devs can keep up the awesome work they've done so far

The main thing i love about this game, is you can interacy with literally everything. and most survival games dont allow you to interact with everything

Some of those Zombies are also in several 7 days to die mods. I'm sure that they are either stock or purchased from the game engines asset store. Can't wait to see what they do with this game!

This game is kinda the same as the infected or mist (as in, the concept of the game is the same). I'd love a survival game that has a different theme to it or a storyline (like the forest for eg with the whole "i need to find my kid" thing). The graphics of this game are great, they've obviously put a lot of thought into it, and am sure there's much more yet to come. I hope you'll do a longer series of this once it has more things to offer :)

The movie Dawn of the Dead the survivors took over a huge indoor mall and blocked all the entrances with tractor trailers. Great movie back in '78. There was also a remake in 2004.

Hey Fooster! Whenever you enter a house and go into the kitchen search all the cupboards and drawers. You can find pans and cook for yourself in the kitchen

Coming from a demolition derby car driver I love seeing game devs add the smallest of details like occupation being a demolition derby driver makes me so happy

theres no lactose in beer, dairy is what causes a problem. its listed as multiplayer! would love something to play with friends like the forest again. looks like a combo of project zomboid with mist survival visuals (also looks like its more graphically optimized that mist survival), love how random the looting is!

Definitely keep us updated with this one, seems to be going in the right direction.

Oh that unboxing thrill... I just got a PC and have 2 1440p monitors on the way. Haven't had a gaming PC since Battlefield Vietnam. The unboxing excitement is high!!

This game looks excellent, for just an early access demo, I think the graphics are superb! They need to work on the movement of dynamic lighting a little bit, (light cast through windows not smooth) fix a few glitches, but overall, I really like the direction that they are going with this game, and I really hope to see more!

I'm a big Dayz guy. This has potential to make me switch. I love the interaction with what makes sense. The building is desired. Didnt cover it in this video but it has features to build doors, Fence, gates, windows etc. That I would love to see in dayz... which has been in development for 10 years!

Ark is one of them because it has so much content - I also enjoy DayZ videos although I never played it myself… It is relaxing to see two humble and funny guys playing games and enjoying themself.

It does obviously have tons of similarities to Project Zomboid, but the aesthetic is so different, you can appreciate both as different games. This is just fantastic! Turn off all the unrealistically loud TVs simulator. WHO'S THE MANUFACTURE?! I want to know. Those built-in speakers are RARELY that good. Soundbar quality! Also, this was just watching a professional gamer kill decently done zombies. Free Demo to get feedback but I'm happy and surprised of it so far. Vein is amazing so far I really hope it gets developed into a full game. It's like a first person project zomboid. Love how you can pick up almost anything and killing zombies with a keyboard is so much fun.
