That was my first thought too! Standing in front of the front door to take a look into the whole living room, seriously? And the front door doesn't seem safe compared to a £4 million apartment...
@@user-kp4ii5eu2w I was going to say the same, the whole interior and aesthetics is also so fugly that buyers WOULD HAVE TO throw away everything, for example the kitchen island and the matching walltype cabinet just ewww..and even the fact that they're just a little below the ceiling and there is an awkward gap that just looks soo distasteful. LiTERALLY haven't seen a more uglier 3mill apartment in my life
It looks amazing but I can’t help thinking with all the glass partition is that if one person has their light on at night it’ll affect everyone in the other bedrooms.
ironically the "home" just feels very cold and soulless for a building with such rich history. Perfect for a multimillionaire with absolutely no taste however I cant see any sane person paying almost 4 million for a property that doesn't fit in any category.
I find it too big with a lot of wasted space. I am also not a fan of subway tiles but I realise they need to be kept in the building. They tend to remind me of public toilets when I was a child.
Same It's awful imo. Would hate to live here no matter the price and for £4mil nah Those storage containers are horrible imo, too big and ugly and it doesn't feel homely feels like someone put a couple beds and sofas in a fire station.. and it's leasehold Nah fam
I would push the Council for a re think on those cold unhygienic tiles. 💩 However I like the spaciousness of it. A disused mill or warehouse would work better for a domestic conversion imo.
I love it too but for more reasons then most Joe Bloggs. My Grandad was based here and lived there with Nan uncle auntie. Then to make this place truly like no other place my Dad was born here in 1960
From the hundreds of videos, I think I know what Summer likes: 1) open plan kitchen 2) dark kitchen cabinets 3) big kitchen island 4) huge fridge 5) big windows, lots of natural light For Matt, 1) LED lights, especially under kitchen island and around mirrors. Love your videos ! Great work, guys!
This place goes up in value because it’s the place of birth of my Dad. My Dad was born there when my Grandad was serving and living there in 1960. RIP Grandad mate we will never forget you
Absolutely hate it. The original tiles make it look like a station toilet. It’s not at all homely. It’s like a warehouse/WC. You would be utterly bonkers to pay nearly £4m for it 😳😳
I don't think it was rhe tuies that made it look less homey. It was the clashing modern design. They really missed many opportunitues to make it a cool place to live. Including, making it a 2 story and using the pole as it was intended.
I lived in this property as a property guardian before planning permission came through. I used to slide down the pole to get to work in the morning. I have also seen that garage host a huge rave, not the kind of party that would probably happen in there now. Good looking work, it's amazing. Do have concerns about noise travelling though.
Did someone mentioned what it would be like to rent it on Airbnb? I will pay 5k on the spot for a week of memories with all crew back in The Fire House!
@@joannadynak7913 not sure you can rent it like air bnb I think you have to be Batman to live in there would be good to go back in though! When I’m rich and famous I’ll Buy one but probably one upstairs
@@damianxavier7343 Listed property, which means you cannot change certain aspects without permission. To keep all our nice old buildings so they don't get knocked down like in America.
The combination of both of you dancing/sliding down the both made my day. Yous are so funny with the jokes you make looks like you have so much fun touring these amazing properties 😀
Love this property, good feel to the place, the only thing from what I can tell you can see right into the apartment from the front door, not much privacy, but as I say great apartment, keep the content coming
Matt and Summer. The best London property ever featured! And did you both have fun! 😆😆. A lot of money but unique and a Grade 2 Landmark building! Thank you both!
@@DonnaJ1312 so many times I have to read back what I’ve written ... something it doesn’t make any comprehension what’s so ever ... but cheers 👍 I thought the apartment was ever so nice !
Would you guys ever consider doing a day in the life or even week in the life vlog? It’d be interesting to see how you guys travel around and film/edit these videos.
Well executed conversion. Just does not look like a home. Last thing this place needs is a listing on Airnib. Lease may prohibit short term letting as many do to protect owner occupiers from the detriment of Airnib clients.
love the interior design on this and the restoration/re-purposing of an old property...but those bedrooms without walls...reminds me of tiny London flatshares where half the living room is converted into a bedroom. What if someone wants to listen to music while someone is sleeping??
This is the best apartment you both have featured on your channel so far. That's in my opinion, of course I've rewinded 6 times already great entertainment space. I have it where that big painting is that's where the tv goes? Great content guys 👍
The most interesting space you've shown. Looks amazing, very open. Different people in the comments have very different priorities to me. They clearly just want a cozy family home, so they complain everything isn't homely enough. I just like great spaces.
Matt & Summer~ I so enjoy your videos! As someone who’s done all kinds of real estate development in the Boston area, what I really love is your relationship and enthusiasm! So much so I subscribed. Thank you for sharing! 👏🏻🏰
Back with a banger guys wow wow I mean it just show’s you can convert anything into living accommodations. Matt hidden talents who knew 😂 It’s great to see you back I’ve missed your tours 🙌🙌
I quite like this quirky property...it has some interesting features....love the kitchen worktops too. Shame though that many hospitals & fire stations such as this one have been shut down. Houses of Parliament could be turned into many apartments too....perhaps for homeless people. I do enjoy your videos.
Even though I don't like this type of houses I actually liked this one and I don't know why :DD I'm actually trying to guess why I like it

Great space! The front door is pretty silly though. It could do with some privacy. You get the feeling you’re entering a communal space. I like the little steps down to the wardrobe/main bath from the primary bedroom though. Very cozy.
I love your videos. I’m obsessed with property at the moment. Can’t wait to one day have one (some 🙃) of my own! Please tour some properties in Kingston and Hampton Court 😊
Another great video thanks. Very nice flats. My question with the ground floor one concerns the windows and how it would look with curtains and nets even....for privacy, light control, heat control and keeping insects out....also a bit disappointed with single rather than double sink..but overall its a fantastic conversion. I prefer the upper floor flat but that marble counter top sticking out would have to go! I can see people hurting themselves on it. Small points.
Wow you guys were on smoke on this one!😍 2 tours, Matt mentioning the floor plan, Summer and Matt giving us pole dancing sessions, strippers coming over etc...🤣🤣🤣 that’s why I I love this channel...love how not too serious you both are ❤️
Love it. A few plants on those outside spaces will lift them considerably. Question: where is the laundry? For £4 million, I don't want to use a laundrette.
