Sitting here next to my entire bookshelf of train books, with my 2 ride-behind live steam locos, you can tell I love trains. I can tell you love trains, you just don't realise it yet ;) Your friends do! You don't need to build a layout to love trains. I sold my model trains about the same time the tiktok guy did, about 14 years old, to buy a guitar and try to fit in. It must have broke my mum's heart, she'd bought me so many models. Then when I was about 20 I thought, who am I trying to kid? There's nothing wrong with liking trains. I've never build another layout but I would like to one day, when I have more space or time. My kids did have train sets though.

I've recently bought back into an N gauge layout and realised how much I love recreating a retro railway scene, and obsessing over a theme of certain steam locos. I also lost my Dad recently who was a big railway enthusiast. He loved the 50's BR days, basically his era as a kid in the Midlands of UK.
