Igris is a character i think EVERYONE who read the webtoon was waiting for and for good reason. I hope We finally get the most anticipated "word" next episode. If done right it'll be the most hype thing ever.
wh do yall need to spoil so much? do you think anime only people are idiots? EDIT: everyone who actually complains about me complaining about obvious spoilers should just end it, like seriously. the amount of stupidity is next level, you are a danger to society....
Some details left off that some people might ask about: Yes, Jinwoo was weak compared to Igris, but when he was on the throne, he used that opportunity from Igris last attack to hold his sword (with his recent armour, the glove had effect of dmg immunity to his hands, but that was only showed in the Manhwa), and then he used all his strength to throw Igris sword away, stab him in the eye with his ability "Fatal Strike" (which gives a critical hit in the enemy's weak spot) and pushed Igris against the wall, then he proceeded to stab him again multiple times in the eye and below the chin, where the armour has less protection, using ALMOST ALL of his mana with multiple abilities of "Fatal Strike" (cost 70 mana) + he used his passive ability of "Advanced Dagger Technique" which gives him 33% all stats when using daggers, he got both of those abilities in episode 10 (last ep). And also, Igris was holding back, it was explained in a side story far in the end of the Manhwa but Idk if they will adapt it to anime. You can call that plot armour but I call that luck and right use of opportunity.
A little bit of both in my opinion, it's just a little too lucky (at least with what's coming next) to call it pure luck and planning. But the fact that it ISN"T all plot armour, and there's even a quiet plot armour mechanic in world, makes this stand head and shoulders and WAIST above way too many anime.
YALL DONT KNOW HOW MUCH I SCREAMED FOR IGRIS LMAO 🔥🔥 The moment I saw Igris in manhwa I had to put down my phone, held my breathe and screamed to my pillow "HE'S SO FRICKING COOL" lol yall gonna see why we really love Igris he's the best!!!
genuinely have never loved an (i guess) mini antagonist more than igris this guy literally slammed him, dragged his face through the wall before pounding his chest in, and did a huge ass combo WHILE IN THE AIR it was actually insane
@@AdacherTheCabbageEater why u guys spoiling? Saying he aint antagonist before the spoiler mark is already a spoiler. And the other guy below saying "my fav shadow", the other people will see it and if they put the pieces together, they will end up guessing whats to come next ep before it gets revealed 🤦🏽💀
if this is how A-1 choreographed igris vs jinwoos fight then season 2 will be beyond insane. this event is really the turning point where everything starts to ramp up and go crazy. all we've watched so far is just the world building, really the tip of the iceberg for sure season 1.
Im worried that solo leveling anime adaptation is not gonna be good but this episode really exceeded my expectations and now i think is better than the manhwa
@@rapidoctopus4893 igris the bloodred or blood red igris( I call the latter one cause it rolls off the tongue better) is the servant/ commander of ashborn's army who chose Jin woo as his successor. He is actually quite strong so strong that the monarch ( the main villain in season 2) fears him. He looks weak in season 1 and during the fight compared to the hype cause he was just testing (?) or more so like to make Jin woo grow stronger so his skill and strength were all limited even after becoming Jin woo's soldier he is weak due to Jin woo's level (the system)
I was worried the writing team wouldnt do Igris justice, and have jinwoo blow through him.. how wrong i was. Bro was cooking our boy like a pound of bacon
The guy who animated choso and itadori fight of jjk S2 Was involved in this episode of solo leveling So happy to see igris I literally couldn’t eat anymore watching the fight 😂💕💕
...because we will all arise from our seats at the end of the episode! 😎👍 Trying to exorcise spoilers! 😂😂😂 ...or even better, those who are worried that people spoil too much, when we all know that the next episode is called "Arise".
First of all the anime went above and beyond for this fight but i also loved how they made it veeeery clear that Jinwoo winning was a fluke he got a single opening and made the best of that chance and Igris was being honorable as hell to
Fun fact for everyone, the author of the Manwha has been making more chapters lately and shows us this entire fight but through Igris's perspective instead of Jinwoo. I would wait a little longer before reading this chapter as I think their might be some spoilers, but its a fun read for anyone who enjoyed this fight. Igris is the goat
Fun Fact:Reason why Sung Jin Woo didnt get hurt n caught Igris weapon on his right hand was cause the Hand armor he equipped has Effect:Prevent Hand Injuries, but not the muscles part where it blacken due to igris beating the shit out him details like these that changed the outcome of the battle i fkin love
I have to say this is my favorite 5 guys and a couch, and it's been fun watching Solo Leveling with yall - gratz to the gent on getting married 6 hours away! coodoes to those that attend. Friends are priceless.
It's so fun watching people speculate where the story is going to go! Can't wait for next week when Solo Leveling REALLY starts 😂. Everything prior to the next episode is basically still kinda the prologue to the main story 😁. I'm gassed for the next EP.
All OG Solo Leveling fans have been waiting yeaaaaars, to see what they would do with Igris’s scene, and they did it PERFECTLY. I had fucking chills, I’m so happy rn
Igris looked so good!! I loved everything about that fight and I cannot wait for episode 12, the title has me hyped already… I can’t wait for the preview trailer to drop on Friday 😂
Job change quests are a very common trope in MMO's. It essentially gives new characters the ability to go into a specific class/job after leveling up to certain levels. You can choose to be an assassin, a knight, an archer, etc.... Basically allowing you to specialize in roles. This is what is meant when they say job change quest.
The animators said that as he (Jin woo) levels up so does the animation. So the animation is just gonna keep getting better and better 👁️👁️. Also they announced that season 2 is coming out this year so even when season 1 finishes we don’t have to wait long for season 2 🫣
jinwoo really has that assassin spirit in him, always looking for that weak points on monster which is the eyes and head, this kind of MC is so rare on other anime MC where instead of fighting straight and keep throwing attacks, jinwoo would finish the fight looking for a weak spot and won't lose his grip on that moment until the enemy is dead
Spoilers: The scale of the future fights are insane with too many characters on screen. The shadows will probably be cgi for the large-scale fights. Hopefully igris and beru remain hand drawn cause igris looked fantastic this episode.
In manhwa when Jin Woo blocked Igris sword there was a window with his gauntlet specs. And it had an effect "all hand damage is reduced to 0%" or smth like that.
I love how no matter how many different people I watch react to this, everyone has nearly the same “holy shit” type of react to the ass whooping Igris gave Jin Woo.
A little Detail that I love and I think you missed in the heat of the Moment: When Igris is defeated and the waves of Enemies start to Spawn, the System says: "The Job-Change Quest begins now", meaning that Igris was actually just the "Requirement" to start the Quest and it was about surviving as long as possible from the very start - only that your Resources are drained as fuck after fighting Igris the Chad :D
Igris. The fkn coolest. I think the anime did well, the actual fight in the manhwa felt too short & easy for me and someone as cool as Igris deserved better. The anime delivered. Cannot wait for the next episode! I sincerely hope they do right by it cuz it could be an absolute banger.
I was already floating when I seen that quest by the end of the eps I was descending to the heavens The 3D surprised me but it’s good I like it love it
This episode was PHENOMENAL in every aspect, My jaw is on the floor I'm so impressed. I'm upset and excited at the same time because next week's episode is the last one... GIVE ME MORE
a lot of people missed that jinwoos gauntlet was immune to blade attacks so thats why he was able to catch the blade there. igris wouldve killed him on that swing if he had any other piece of armor on but regardless it was so hype
The igris's perspective on the fight makes this fight sooo much better and makes so much more sense than jinwoo just being lucky in this fight but u guys would have to watch till the end of the show to find that out 😅
