Join us as we experience our first Filipino festival of the year in the Philippines as a British couple. Today we are in Czar's home province of Kalibo, Aklan for Ati-Atihan 2024. Known as the mother of all festivals in the Philippines. In this video we'll show you our first impressions of Ati-Atihan & filipino festivals in 2024. We started by getting AtiAtihan T-shirts before heading to watch the Higantes Parade where all the barangays & municipalities of Aklan parade with endless drummers, HUGE statues and the sadsad support. We then check out Kalibo's main plaza where we were hit by the enormous rumble of countless drumming. The next day we went to the street party at Kalibo main plaza and were instantly greeted with smiles, alcohol and face paint. We could feel the vibrations of of all there drums in our chest! Ati-Atihan 2024 was busier and CRAZIER than ever! It was amazing to fully immerse ourselves in the culture of the Filipino festivals & Aklanons.
