I was very impressed by this flashlight. The design of Wuben's X-series makes them very unique and eye-catching. What do you think about the Wuben X1?

This is my favorite flashlight! I can't wait to see what they do for the X3!

I can't reveal details yet... but... I am currently testing the X3 and can't wait to share my review!! Stay tuned. ;)

Quite a nice light for sure. We've tested it at just over 10,000 lumens after turn on. Some people said you can't replace the batteries, but on mine I could open it up, and easily replace them.. maybe with losing warranty though

Not bad at all. Yes, the batteries are removable. I ended up taking it apart after a couple of people commented about it

Great job reviewing. Don't like the fact you can't replace the batteries. Seems for the price that would include the bike attachment.

Thank you! After several people commented about the non-removable batteries, I went ahead and took the back plate off. It has two 21700 batteries that can be replaced.

The website description is misleading but i suspect each of the 21700 batteries is 4800mah, for total of 9600mah, as klarus G15 which uses similar led, and has single 21700 is 5000mah
@FittoSurvive
@FittoSurvive Год назад
I just looked into that. You are right, both of the 21700 batteries have 4,800 mAh, so the total the flashlight has is 9600 mAh. www.wubenlight.com/products/wuben-abd21700-4800mah-rechargeable-battery-with-protected-board

The batteries are running in series I believe so the total is only 4800mah at 7.2V.

@@ytr4 youre right, i was wrong, the image on website shows series connection, to increase output voltage.....so capacity is limited...

I do like thius whole range, love the futuristic look, website says the 7 modes can be engineered, would be great if you could add in a beacon mode ( slow strobe) , especially if they released white/red glow attachments... i might change to this if my klarus G15 dies....
@FittoSurvive
@FittoSurvive Год назад
The look of these flashlights are definitely one of the better selling points. The 7 modes that can be engineered allows you to choose the approximate lumens of each setting. Like you can choose between 20-400 lumens for eco mode, 400-1000 lumens for low mode, etc. You can not add mode or slow strobe though.

@@FittoSurvive which is a lot of energy, so if it could be used as a powerbank that would be good, customisable strobe rate would be great, even better bluetooth, this is just asking for tripod mounting, so bluetooth to activate and configure would be awesome, the most needed feature, tripod screw mount hole, with the flat base its just asking for it...

@@neoaliphant If it worked as a power bank, that would have been super convenient.

what a beast - but i fear it suffers from the "olight-illness": not so easy (or even impossible) to replace the batteries. still a good thing for the car, though: always have a flashlight in your "car EDC"...
@FittoSurvive
@FittoSurvive Год назад
Yes, it is odd and unfortunate that they did not make the batteries easier to replace. I am tempted to open the tail end of the flashlight and see what's inside. 😁 So, I did open it up after all. It has two Wuben branded 21700 batteries that do not need to be soldered or anything. So, they are replaceable. 👍🏻

A flashlight with non replaceable batteries? Wow, instant fail. It’s bad enough modern phone have non replaceable batteries, but a flashlight? Seriously?
@Alessandro-tf5xh
@Alessandro-tf5xh Год назад
You can actually remove them the fact is that you have to unscrew 4 screws to remove the 2 batteries inside
@erebostd
@erebostd Год назад
@@Alessandro-tf5xh i thought so, but not only is your warranty voided afterwards, it’s unclear if you need to solder them in. It’s a bad practice, and shouldn’t be rewarded by buying that stuff, at least in my book….

Since you are not the first person to comment about the non removable/ non replaceable batteries. I went ahead and unscrewed the 4 screws on the back of the flashlight. Inside is two Wuben branded 21700 batteries. They are not soldered and could easily be replaced. This does make me wonder why they do not advise disassembling the flashlight though... 🤔 Good news, the batteries can be replaced. 😁👍🏻

I just read the instruction manual again, under "maintenance" it does mention replacing the battery. And it doesn't say that the warranty will be voided.
