I still can't imagine owning a convertible with cloth upholstery. I have owned at least one convertible continuously since 1974, and just the thought of trying to keep cloth upholstery clean is frightening -- insects, birds and other animals do have a propensity to leave their "calling cards" from time to time, and cleaning up their messes is comparatively easy with leather or vinyl. Most of my convertibles have had either white leather or white vinyl upholstery as I live in a very warm and humid part of the Midwest.

If I recall I think the Cheyenne was the base or mid level trim on that OBS Chevrolet truck.

The 3.7 in the 2011-2017 was the 300 HP V6 offered in the mustang that was faster or as fast as the previous GT. The 4.0 V6 was offered along side that previous GT as you showed

3.7 is not quite as fast as the 4.6 3v. The 4.6 also wakes up nicely with a couple of bolt ons.....

Good morning Randy. The 1990 Chevrolet Silverado is a good looking truck even though the tail gate is beat up. The GMC 1500 is a decent looking truck.

The 3.8 in the previous generation Mustang made 193 horsepower, and 225 torque. The 4.0 in that generation Mustang made 210 horsepower, and 240 torque. So 17 more horsepower, and 15 more torque. Also 4 speed auto vs 5 speed auto.

I think you really understand estimate those old trucks and how sought after they are. l know and work with a lot of guys that to take that gold truck in a heartbeat and put it back on the road. Because new trucks are so expensive a lot for people can’t really afford or justify spending 60 to 70k on a newer truck. Also the old trucks can be worked on easier and cheaper as well

They didn't start putting the good V-6s in Mustangs until 2010. Before that it was the same engine as the Explorer and didn't have much power.

The 2006 4.0L V6 is only 210HP, but it's pretty torquey and moves decently. The 4.6L GT in 2006 would have 300HP. I think what you're referring to is the 3.7 V6 that came out in 2011...it has 305 HP and the 5.0 Coyote in the GT has 412HP. The 3.7L V6 has to be reved higher than the old 4.0L to get that 305HP...the 4L is torquey at a lower RPM...have owned both and they are both very capable for the relatively light Mustang. The older 3.8L is 193HP and doesn't feel anything like either the 4.0 or the 3.7.

Not a good idea. The 305s for cars and trucks are not necessarily the same. Passenger cars are usually set up for top end horsepower while the trucks were set up for torque and towing. That Monte engine would subtract a lot of that truck's utility.

Think both of Obs GMC pick-up trucks make great projects for someone but seriously gold regular cab first one in needs most TLC im sure red 95 Sierra Ext. Cab just probably needs a new battery, spark plugs & coils, fresh oil change & transmission aswell.

You know I don’t have a problem with v6 muscle cars but when you stuff a turbocharged 4 cylinder (ford and chevy) into a muscle car. Nope, that is way to far down. I mean a v6 doesn’t sound the best but then they put a turbo 4 in one with an exhaust and it just sounds like a hair dryer

My son has a 1998 GMC1 ton, with the utility box on it, with over 300000 miles on it. Doesn't burn any oil, gets horrible gas mileage, and it has the 5.7 l vortech engine. He bought it, to pull his 1973 Buick Riviera, from Norfolk up to northern New York. At this point, he's looking to use this truck hand trailer combo, to pull the Buick from northern New York, to Idaho in about 3 years. Who thinks it'll make it?

I love those old trucks but I've always wondered why auctions do this why did they make it not available for your average Joe to bid on a vehicle. The only Macan S (2016) I can find with the same miles are $26-$34k. The only one close to $40k is the Black Edition with a little more than 100k miles on it. They want $25k that one?! yikes.

My personal opinion is that you should get a V6 mustang. Especially the 3.7 with 315 HP but if a 4.0 is what you can get a 4.0 is very good too. just to drive and try out see what you think. Even to compare to ur old white 4.6. I own a 3.7 and I love it. Just my personal opinion and a suggestion 😊
