little tip, click and hold on the numbers in the box, then drag left/right rather than the slider, you can make micro adjustments much more easily! also double click on the label to reset that parameter.
Thank you so much for making a video about these amazing tools! So many youtubers just try to sell you LUTs, this lets you make your own, with the same tools color scientists like Steve Yedlin developed.
just found out about this tool and tried it out yesterday. Im officially gonna have it on every single clip I work on. I graded some prores 422 10 bit footage out of my Sony FX30 and it was so hard to make the image break apart it almost felt like working with 16 bit footage. Davinci resolve really is just the game changer NLE for color grading with all these tools we have available
I really enjoyed watching this. You are an affable character. It was fun watching you work. I have been shooting for 35 years of Hollywood and been in countless timing sessions and it still mesmerizes me to watch it happen. Good fortune to you!
great video thx but i couldnt see your cst in and out nodes...would recommend log to da vinci wide gamut on first node and wide gamut to gamma 2.4 on last node to work in the most DR :)
simple but powerful tool! Love it. Only would have loved to see an ungraded rec709 comparison to really see the difference. But i will try the tool out my self! :)
Great video bro, was wondering if you had a breakdown of your node trees on these shots or if its one of your Lut's and if so which one??? grade is so good 🔥
Hey, thanks :) Grading used here is my Century16 Powergrade, my store is linked in the description and you can find it there (there's also a breakdown video there)
I loved your approach and explanation and the subtle changes you applied using that dctl. Is it "safe" in any color space or is it designed for a special color space?
hey mate! this is pretty damn cool, thanks for sharing. do you know if the DCTL behaves differently in a colour managed space, such as Davinci Widegamut?
I am new to this. Is it true that dclt is only working within the paid version of resolve? So basically with the free version I cannot do this? I get the watermark of resolve
