🙋♂️ am from 🇹🇹 i love that life.i started my garden a few years ago , some of my fruit trees started bearing . I plant alot of local and exotic fruits . Thats a real nice life.
Man, seeing all that golden apple (June plum, Pommecythere) on the ground hurt my heart. I wish I could scoop them all up. Sit on my back porch make a little chow and eat for days. Born trini raise vinci. I wish i had his yard. Lord its so nice. ❤🎉😊 Thanks for sharing. I wish his kids were into it like he is.
That fruit is called June Plum in Jamaica but Golden Apple in other English speaking Caribbean countries. I think in Trinidad and Tobago it's called Pomme cy there.
In the Saint Lucia we call ( june plums ) golden apples and they grow to that size. I remember as a young boy using bamboo poles and throwing stones to pick them. The smaller variety was introduced to the Island later.
@@jadea.2694I got some from Florida around thanksgiving let me tell you I made a giant bowl of chow and I had it for dinner and breakfast the next day . I hadn’t have a good pommecythere in so long !
Dried Mulberry is very nutritious and we use it a lot in our breakfast yoghurt. As for the soursop tree, the leaves possesses strong healing properties and are wonderful in tea's. This gentleman's sitting on gold, my gosh!
My cousin had a Jackfruit tree that he cut down because it got to big. It grew shaped like a Norfolk pine. There wasn't another tree any where near it. So, some varieties grow up no matter the spacing.
Unfortunately it's a fact. We are 8 children in my family, not one has the life interests of our father. Imagine having 8 children and not one of them to follow your path.... it's ridiculous.
Another great video! So informative! What a great yard! Happy Chanukah and happy holidays! I tasted my 1st white sapote few months a go and just ordered more. Interesting how tastes differ! I am in tampa side and we are experiencing such low temps!! I am not sure my sugar apples or Rollinia will survive! 🙏🏻.
Am looking at those mangos and wonder about mine. Since at 5 to 7 feet depth under my trees there is solid rock formations, I can't really expect them to grow that large right? I do know that most of their roots are shallow, but, at that height their roots must go 20 feet deep, right?
@@FruitfulTrees the climate here is nice, as I am near the coast on the south shores of Cyprus Island (East Mediterranean sea, same zone as Israel). No real winter here. My concern is the soil and the rock formations beneath the trees... eventually I will upload videos of the progress, I already started filming but I will edit and upload in 3 or maybe even 4 years because I want the whole progress been shown in one video instead of new video-updates every six months.
In Trinidad we call June plum pommecthyree or pommecthrey where the name from I have no idea all I can maybe it originates from the French influence that was part Trinidad history.
@@dougs_urbanfarm Yes they are. That’s the same thing I’m fretting about now. Didn’t realise jujube trees got so big. I hope my neighbour likes jujubes. Lol.
Hi Paul… looks like Santa did not bring you a set of Blue Tooth mics for Hanukkah…sound is not good on this video. Best for 2023… hoping for better quality sound in 2023. Cheers, Johno
Those are golden apple not June plum, I believe Florida belongs to the Caribbean no matter what any one says, ! those fruits tree's can't grow in North America, tropical island
I love this farm with different types of tropical fruits . The Star apples kind of sticky inside but is nice, the Mamey and sapodilla very delicious. In Belize we called the June plum Golden plums some of them is the size of a star apple when full grown and they are very juicy and delicious. This is amazing because I missed eating these fruits always was interested to know where I can find these fruits I mentioned .
