That honestly is a much better idea because then you can't have any prejudice towards anything other than what their voice sounds like (outside of the whole purpose which is personality)
@@goldencalf13 Like, like with what they’re doing now you can still judge them off of their body or like even down to the way they move. But with a suit of armor, everyone is on equal ground.
Sounds like a pain in the ass to go around in a date. I'd assume there'd be a lot of limitations with what they can bond over, and hopefully they won't be boiled to death. btw I love your pfp and username
@@raceallen1569 Just a heads-up, they didn’t type a minus, they typed a hyphen! So they meant regular S, not S-. I agree with you though, the makeup is S+.
Never thought I'd see the day were Torbjorn from overwatch and Groot fight over Gender-bent Cat in the Hats affection. This is why you shouldn't take edibles kids.
Ngl, the show has a good meaning behind it, like it forces people to date another person for their personality, rather than looks, but those very same people look good at the same time lmao
@@nutfar4413 yeah, not to mention how sweaty the actors would probably get under set lights. From the behind-the-scenes / commentary I've heard in the past, actors and actresses really aren't fans of wearing such heavy makeup
because modern disney and marvel movies use cgi because cgi animators dont have a union so they can underpay and overwork them. meanwhile makeup and irl special effects and prop professionals have union rights
@@softlights26 it didn't occur to me that people would take this seriously, but no, this isn't true, its a half baked conspiracy that i made on the spot. BUT, if you want to believe it, i won't stop you
In the trailers of the show they showed a bunch of contestants walking in without the makeup and not a single one of them wasn't conventionally attractive. I knew after that there would be no risk in someone not being physically attractive after the makeup comes off.
I think Matt the Tree got bullied a lot when he was younger and at one point the bully said "Make like a tree kid" after beating him to a pulp. Those words engraved themselves in Matt's being, scaring his identity and now he embodies them.
They aren't actually furries, the costumes are just to make them completely unrecognizable so they can only judge on personality. I believe it's actually a reboot of an older show with the same idea
This show is like if all of my custom created characters from various video games met up in one place for a reality tv show dating game. Talk about a fucking fever dream.
@@Hellknight101 I started playing dark souls 1 for the first time and know everywhere i go I see dark souls comments, what is this sorcery. Also, P R A I S E T H E SUN
Man, the multiverse for these new batch of Marvel films and shows is going in all sorts of places isn’t it? Kevin Feige may be going too far with it all.
For the no one that asked, Dana Carvey was the actor in Master of Disguise. Also what's kinda annoying is that instead of normal people they only picked models and actors.
Gonna be honest, after this, I’m gonna watch more. The anticipation is killing me. I used to do special effects make up also, so I appreciate that aspect of it.
I watched Syfy's Face Off which was super interesting to learn the process so even though this show is so fake, the makeup is really good, especially how well they can emote.
Oh no, oh god no, my mom was watching this show a while back trying to figure out whether or not this show was a joke or not. Personally, I still am not entirely sure
I just know there's a joke in this show about how the makeup is supposed to hide people's looks and make them less attractive, but there's probably a contender who is really turned on by the character their date is. Imagine if a Furry did get paired up with the cat girl, it would be so awkward and uncomfortable, and probably make for good TV. Despite that, I honestly think I would rather see a costume like the cat girl's whenever I see pictures of Furry conventions over those freakish bobble heads with soulless eyes that are more the norm. I guess those giant heads became acceptable since apparently only one person on this planet can make decent Furry makeup, and they're doing this show.
@@goranpersson7726 You'd be amazed at how much cash Furries will drop for their fetish. Charlie once looked at a story where a Furry spent 20K on a shitty adopt. I still stand behind my preference, though.
Turns out "sexy Beasts" is a Netflix show and A&E have a few clips from it. I'd definitely be interested in seeing Charlies reactions to the full show.
I love that the premise of the show is to not focus on looks and the literal clips they're using to advertise said show is a guy saying he didn't really care the girl didn't pick him until he saw her looks. So he didn't care about her personality, and would've still not cared if she didn't pick him if it turned out she WASN'T attractive. Well done writers, you've abandoned the premise faster than m.knight movies introduce the first twist.
It makes for good television to be like "awww I wish I'd picked her" rather than it being like "y'know what you look good but I know who I like better. Sorry." Plus, they're very clearly actors.
@@Sheridan2LT yeah I know. Just ridiculous that the show is advertised to attract a certain crowd who like these shows but criticize that it's always beautiful people that participate, then in seconds it's thrown out the window because the people are actually all decent looking. Not to mention in good shape so it isn't obvious whose the black sheep.
by the end of the video, i felt just how charlie did. i don't watch "reality" shows much, but with how well done the makeup was and how low-key funny it is, I'm kinda interested. also that reptilian was tiiiiiiiiiiiicc.
I've seen a few other people react to some other episodes and I can definitely say this show gets hilarious at times. I don't wanna spoil anything but it's definitely something to watch if you're bored and need a chuckle.
She needs someone who doesn't live with their mother... But... She's explicitly catering to an audience of children who, you know, being children - LIVE WITH their parents! Because... They're CHILDREN!!
@Safwaan what I was trying to say is that the character could be whatever you want, even if it’s a mash up of different things. The possibilities are open even if they logically don’t make sense. Whatever floats your boat
