How many years has it been since season 1 was released. I get that some other anime shows are good (shield hero, black clover, etc) but we need at least one more season from NGNL lol. Been waiting since I first watched anime back in 8th grade and got addicted to anime after watching this awesome show!

The studio did make an announcement for second season when they make the movie but then suddenly the studio got into copyright issue alongside the novel from two seperated sources. Both the studio and the author have offered an apology and pay to resolve the issue. After that, there's been no info or announcement from the studio

not really. it would be difficult to adapt as season 1 covers volumes 1-3 but the ending skipped to the end of volume 6 to leave on a cliffhanger.

Those that asked for second season, I'll tell you this they originally did want to make a second season but after the movie came out both the studio and the author got a copyright strike from two separate source. Both the author and studio admit it, they have since offered an apology and pay the settlement. But since it have a copyright issues, the studio probably ditch the idea.

It's possible that we will get a second season after 4-6 year if the original sources don't mind the issue. Sadly NGNL season 2 is not gonna happen due to copyright... But if ever it will have a season 2, I swear its really in a good track and the latest so awesome... A bit of spoiler he already got vampre, mermaids, flugel, avant heim and he is going for old deus but the updates say more. So yeah really awesome...

hey, the author is coming back to continue the light novel. hopefully when they get back they'll work with another studio and finally make s2. madhouse doesn't like more than 1 season (ex. one punch) so it'd most likely be a different studio. but hey season two is season two
