49:25 Here is a good reason why Mark is sorry. Using THREE Mushrooms in a speed tunnel is not OPTIMAL because the speed is already consistent. What he should be doing is utilizing it for each shortcut and not within 1 second intervals because the overall speed is not kept well. As well using mushrooms in the air is not as effective as on ground.

Despite seeing the blue warning, Mark here drives right behind first and pays for it (Desmond, the first place racer, also brakes to try to get anyone behind him!) . Leland sees the warning and drifts hard to the right to avoid the first place driver, takes first after first place gets hit, and stays in first the rest of the race. Good racing by Leland!

Ya'll gotta come off those FRANTIC ITEMS. 🤣That's what's causing the game to be so grimey. If you just want to race "normally" turn that setting off. Also, some general tips: 1) When you're in the back - use items to get ahead. When you're in front, use items to PROTECT yourself. The folks who lose the most often use their items incorrectly. For example, Mark often gets rid of his items for no particular reason other than it's not an item he wants - as a result he rarely has items when he needs them. Bananas can be used to avoid red and green shells, bananas can also be used to prevent people from getting power ups or speed boosts which gains you a lead. So in reality, Banana's are super helpful for first place, you just have to use them correctly. Boom Box blocks Blue Shells. Coins increase your top speed, they aren't useless! 2) Acceleration helps you reach top speed faster, but your top speed determines how fast you can go. So if you have a cart with low top speed, you will need to collect coins to reach the fastest speed you can go. Meanwhile, if you have a car with acceleration then you will reach your current top speed FASTER than others. 3) If you're going to play with Frantic Items on, play on lower CC's first. 4) Customize your cart. If you're playing with a bike and you don't know how to drift, customize the other parts so that you can drift properly. The same applies to all kart types!

@RDCLive Mark it sometimes new every vid. But I do feel like your getting better every stream. * On stages with a lot of turns, acceleration and handling madders the most. Weight low key helps when you are in the air because you will sore through the air quicker. So be lighter. *Speed matters more on more straight stages like (ex: Excite Bike, ect) the faster your speed of vehicle while going in a straight line, the more you’ll close the distance, but every time you slow down, you will have to make that speed back up. Thats where acceleration comes back in. Also, stages where there are sharper turns to make, bikes are the move, however only on sharp turn stages like excite bike. More curvier stages like Rainbow Road, recommend to use carts, not bikes because you’ll have more traction and control of your drift. *Last tip, it’s good to have a good cart loadout, but it’s really about what character you choose. Ex, you can pick yoshi and pick the exact same load as Leland, except Leland has Toadette. Leland will take off way quicker being Toadette is a more lighter and have faster acceleration than Yoshi
