This Game is NOT What I Expected | Burning Rangers (SEGA Saturn)

Also, this is the first game who's anime opening comes close to being as good as Wild ARMs and Psychic Force. The 90s.

"Big Landman" 😂 It needs a remaster tied to a low price point and then a sequel. The problem I find with Sega these days tho (excluding Streets of Rage 4 and Sonic Mania) is they don't tended to quality control their IP so we end up with some right duds.

This game could have been so great and is still-to this day-kinda unique. Wish someone would fix all the bugs and make it play properly, heh. A sequel probably wouldn't reach the same charm, but you never know. Maybe worth a try.

People rag on the n64 era games for excessive fogging issues, but Jesus! The Saturn and PS1 games look like they need a good sanding down with a sheet of wet n dry!

This is like the only honest review I have found on the game. Now, I am a huge Sega fan boy from back in the day, an 80s kid, fell for the console wars hook line and sinker and fought in the front line. That said, so many saturn games are put on a pedestal by retro collectors (Dragon Force, Panzer Dragon Saga, and this one), I think to justify their high price, and frankly they are crap. This game like a lot of Saturn's early venture into 3d are just experiments and should be only seen as a curiosity on how those early 3D games developed to get us to modern games.

Ah, the game that should have been a Dreamcast launch title and not squeezed onto a Saturn. As much as I loved my Saturn I was distraught when I played the demo after getting overexcited about mag previews.

Thank you for making this video. You mention the game has a short overall play time which i think is not bad for an arcade style action game. It has a pretty nice "end game" feature with the mail system and the rewards you will get through rescuing all the different (approx. 100) people :D
