From what ive heard, the reason of the court evidence and 250 gamepasses its bc since gamepasses are free to make and badges not, they used gamepasses to see how the badges would look, but accidently released those 2, so like you said, an accident.
It's not gonna change alot the slap grinding in the game by removin 5 times more slaps since it still is activated for who bough it also, you can easily farm slap using orbit and 2 times slaps
