The clumps look like that shade matching foundation, it worked when you applied that with fingers but with any brush or sponge it left lil balls everywhere. Maybe that’s the issue with this foundation as well. Also you’re hilarious Kristi, you make me laugh so much, thanks for that 😊
I am 100% one of those people who gives NO FUCKS about the plastic. (Since you mentioned it🤣) There are FAAAARRRR more important things to think about, but that's just my opinion (& yes, I agree about the broken record thing😖). But I guess that's why the good Lord didn't make us all the same... Somebody's gotta care about that shit! Still love you to pieces though, Kristi! 😘
“I’m ready for my next house to bring me silence...” NOPE!!! You’re gonna have little feet and the most beautiful screaming baby noises!!!!! Soooooo happy for her!!!!!
Kristi, three years ago I went through the most traumatic moment of my life. A month ago, I faced the person who attacked me and sent him to jail. The entire time after I testified, I watched your videos. You gave me faith with your humor, it felt like a friend was by my side.
I hope you are able to heal. I've been in a similar sounding situation but my attacker got away with it, so I wanted to tell you something that I wish I was told: you are not alone, you are valid, you are loved, and most importantly you deserve happiness. I really really really hope you know that it gets better, and you deserve the best. I'll do the only thing I can do for you and send healing and happy vibes your way. Whatever was done to you was awful, but you are strong.
I love this. When people criticize creators online.. they don’t realize what an impact the RU-vid community has had on the world. Wishing you the best ❤️
A Flying Yogurt I love when people take the time to make these comments. I always feel weird commenting polite things to strangers but you know what? The internet needs more positivity. 🙂
Ya know.... I think you’re actually sassier and more sarcastic than you have been in a while, and I’ve missed it so much. It seems like your mental health is improving and I’m so here for it. Love you so much!!! 💜
Sally Rastogi tell me whyyy when I read “pita dough” I literally thought of the hunger games scene where pita leaves out bread for katniss. I know .. my mind
Jenny Stiglet “Stan” entered the zeitgeist when Eminem debuted his song called _Stan._ The music video and lyrics explores the life of a troubled man named Stan whom obsesses over the artist. A play on words, Stan is not only his name but Eminem also uses the name as a blend of the words “stalker” and “fanatic”. In the climax of the music video and lyrics Stan commits homicide-suicide as a result of his obsession of Eminem. Stan is often used when people want to express that they are beyond a “fan” of something or as a derogatory term for those who take their fandom too seriously. The original commenter was using this term to emphasize that she is a fan of Kristi despite not really subscribing to any other fandom - and is meant as a term of endearment. She is basically inflating how she feels about Kristi to say she really enjoys and appreciates her content. The one issue with “Stan” vs. “fan” is that they essentially mean the same thing - as fan is an abbreviated form of “fanaticism” or “fanatic” which means _”a person filled with excessive and single-minded zeal”_ (according to the Oxford dictionary) often associated with a social, political or religious point of view. It can enter realms of dangerous as often those who are fanatical are more likely to take their beliefs to extremes. Nowadays, people use fan or “Stan” interchangeably as synonymous with strong like for something. HOWEVER, it still remains that fandom culture is very prevalent and at times can enter the realms of absurdity or can be dangerous - although those are more extreme cases, as described in the original song. But, for the most part, it is used in a more light hearted or self-aware way. *The more you know!* 💫 And that concludes class for this session.
This eye look is actually so beautiful on you, I'm shook at how good it looks with your complexion and hair colour. Pastel purple looks damn good on you dad
He is the best! His channel popped up in my recommendations with about 10,000 subs and his channel blew up SOOO FAST! And I see people mentioning him in the comment section on so many other people's channels and quoting him, it's great! I can't think of another channel I've seen grow so quickly!
*Kristi applying her concealer* Me: that looks like Robert Welsh's technique Kristi: a little Rober Welsh technique Ahhh yes I knew it😂 Also when you started doing using the tantour, you rememinded me of Rosa 😂
Watching this on the tv and my boyfriend has been listening. He thought he’d share that you can get 10 sponges for $2.. I think he missed the part that you were talking about face sponges lol anyway, love you and your vids!
@@Mikayla_Y_1998cosmetics and men are my favorite combination lol. They’re like little aliens. Yesterday my boyfriend picked up my. Lashcurler and told me “you dropped your eyebrow curling thing.”
Damn it Raw, when are we getting a “you can’t tell me what to do, you’re not my real dad” shirt?!?!? Give the masses what they are dying for!!!! 🙏 ♥️👏🏼
I agree with your sustainable comments! Here in England, my husband got a “yellow warning sticker” from the bin men because he had accidentally put something that wasn’t recyclable into the blue recyclable bin!
My husband looking at me like I'm so stupid bc I freaked out upon seeing this video is FORTY-SIX MINUTESSSS!!! yassssssss bout to hang out with my best frannn
“Bless your cotton socks”, “What fresh hell” “Raw Crusty ____” ... I ♥️ her!!! We need a coffee table book of quotes w/hilarious thumbnail pics! I’d buy it 🥰🥳🤩
Usually when my foundation "balls up" it's because ingredients in my moisturizer aren't meshing with the ingredients in my foundation. With Garnier gel moisturizer it would happen alot to me. I switched to cetephil and I did use the Covergirl milk foundation on top of it and never had an issue.
Ellini B - I had the same issue she did. I’m going to try again with a cream foundation and see if it doesn’t do better. Because HOLY CRAP. BALLS. ALL OVER MY FACE.
When I first used mine, it had the little balls in it too. One day I decided to try it again for kicks, the balls aren't there any more!! Idk what happened, but now I use it every day for almost like a BB cream of sorts because it definitely doesn't have any coverage. 😂
The chunks are most likely from the coconut oil in the product - which becomes solid if it's colder than room temp (probably your cold sponge). Also, there is mica in this product which is why it looked silver.
Kristi, medical aesthetician here, CORRECT: DON'T SQUEEZE, GO GET PROFESSIONAL EXTRACTIONS DONE LMAO, but if you canNOT ignore at-home extractions, get a sterile lancet or boil a needle to sterilize it, and then poke directly into the center of the comedone, or create a tiny, clean cut over the body of it, and then GENTLY apply pressure around it. It's not that extractions are bad, it's that people are often too aggressive at home and don't give the bacteria a clean hole to exit through so it explodes through the skin causing excess trauma to the surrounding tissue if they try to force anything out and risk spreading the bacteria around that gets caught underneath. Extractions are best done after a shower or gentle, indirect steaming of the face, or even better for the real stubborn bois, after a light BHA peel or chemical exfoliating treatment.
I can’t tell you how relieved I felt when you clipped your hair back. It almost makes me feel like.. anxious when people do their face with there hair down willy nilly.. or is it rage.. can’t tell
Ok, so it's true. Awhile ago, you came up in my recommended videos. I wasn't interested, because I already watched too many beauty youtubers, and I wanted something else. Passed. Passed several times. Finally your video autoplayed, and I subscribed after watching, like, two videos. Now every time you post, I genuinely get excited. So much so that if I know I'm going to have *a day*, I'll save the video so I can watch it later, when I really need it. You went from being a "pass" to the only other channel that gets me pumped (and the other one is Lisa Eldridge, so).
Kate Farr I love Kristi and Lisa too, as well as Wayne Goss, and Whitney Hedrick! 💗 Lisa and Wayne are my go-to for the most legit, professional makeup artistry, Kristi is my go-to for hilarious happiness, and Whitney is my go-to for an awesome perspective on the beauty industry. 💗
I love how you always call out that it's so easy for these brands to make more sustainable packaging. If we could all just switch to compostable waste products, like excess packaging, it would really help our environment.
I never liked it. Bought the lightest shade which CG apparently doesn’t realize there are pale people out there. The shade was like 10 shades too dark then turned orange.
STAY ON THAT FREAKIN’ SOAP BOX! Shout as loud as you can about single use plastic! I never get bored of hearing you say it! It’s refreshing and not enough youtubers speak up enough, like they don’t want to be seen as an eco-warrior or something 🙄 but yeah, FUCK YEAH! 💚💚💚
My conspiracy theory is that they get rid of things everyone loves, Because when you have a tried and true you stop buying and trying new products. So if they get rid of it you then have to start all over buying new foundations until you find one you like.
“Under the skin bumps” - use chemical exfoliating skincare (cleansers, masks, serums) and then use The Ordinary salicylic acid serum right on the area. I have the same problem and it really helps with those closed comedones!
yes chemical exfoliaters are a game changer! it’s likely you won’t see immediate results, but after a week or two you’ll notice a difference in the texture of your skin. I use the ordinary’s glycolic acid 7% toning solution every other day and all my under the skin bumps vanished. it’s like magic!
“Does setting spray DO anything? Or does it just feel good?” Kristi is always asking the REAL questions that keep us up at night. Real talk tho I just bought that foundation bc I saw two really positive reviews on it and now I’m scared to try... we will see what happens
@@madelynnemree2618 omg I was about to ask how it worked for you. I got it right when it came out. I tried it and was like, huh. I haven't seen anyone else address this!! I'm so glad it happened for you and Kristi, because I felt like it was just me. I absolutely hate that foundation.
That quesadilla looks so delicious, the char on the veggies mixed with the melty cheese, the contrasting textures of the crunchy-ish flour tortilla with the pico on top. I want one.....
“How can you have a pimple and not pop it?” Me. My entire life. Every once and awhile I’m like maybe I should stop... but no. It’s just too satisfying. I’m with you girl. Edit: Your packaging rant was my favourite part. Keep it coming!!!
Larissa Swayze I heard this my while life. I've popped thousand of zits and nothing bad happened lol. And dont think I really have any acne scars, more than a dark spot of a few days....but guess what the zit woulda lasted a few days or a week too
I know people say they'd rather have a pimple for a few days than a scar for 2 weeks but for me it's about the texture. I'd rather have a scar that's flat that I can cover than a big throbbing zit for 3 days.🤷♀️
FYI: I think I might have said this before, but Fordyce spots don't come and go like that. What is likely happening when you moisturise your lips is that the lip tissues [I was going to write "labial tissues" there, since a facial lip is "labia oris", but I laughed at myself and deleted it 😂] are being plumped up and pushing the spots up. When your lips are dry the tissues shrink and the spots recede into your lips a bit; they're still there, you just can't see or feel them. I used to feel self-conscious about mine, especially when I had one that was red-colored right at the front of my mouth, but when I learned that something like 80% of people have them I stopped caring.
I have one designed but I’m not doing anything with it until so find out if she is going to release her own. If she ever plans on creating merch and making “You’re Not My Real Dad” shirts, it wouldn’t be right for me to make one. I was thinking that I could release my design and set it up as a fundraiser, as I wouldn’t feel right profiting off of something like that. Seeing as both her and I suffer from migraines, I was considering I could donate all of the profits to the Migraine Research Foundation. I wish there was a way to get in contact just to make sure that she would be okay with it.
A lot of time when your foundation is pilling on the skin, it's because the moisturizer/foundation combo just don't react well together. Not that it seems good either way!
speed0spank the glossier skin tint has the same issue! It pilled up when I used it with the Nyx angel veil primer but works great with just moisturizer or the elf ones I usually use
I have not been able to get that Milk Moisturizer work with any foundation - it's a nighttime cream for me. The CoverGirl stuff works okay with the Tatcha Water Cream underneath!
Omg I love you mentioning Robert. He has helped me so much with my makeup application. I’m 44 and when I do my makeup the way he suggests I look 15 years younger. He’s the makeup king on RU-vid right now. I hate that he doesn’t have more subscribers because he deserves them.
hi i'm rolling over popped a pigeon also you look like a girl who bullied me in high school and i finally clicked your videos awhile ago and now i'm in love from bully doppelgänger to my real dad, a tale for the ages
AmazingVinyl lol she’s amazing. First video I watched sent me on a rabbit hole. I watched all of them in a couple days and even rewatched a few. Best you tube account ever.
