Military Industrial Complex propaganda. All bombs are measured in cost per unit of explosive charge. That depends on the cost of the bomb casing, and the chemicals. A 55 gallon drum works fine as a bomb. This “mother of all bombs” has a cost per unit of explosive charge fifty times higher than normal. It’s a theatrical device. Real bombs are standardized. They load into the bomb bay of an aircraft by the dozens. They’re a low-price commodity.
