My favorite scene in Nip/Tuck and my favorite rendition of one of my favorite songs. It so fits the context of that situation! Bacharach and Ruth Williamson should have done an album together.
I LOVE the show NipTuck and this is my fave episode. I love how Burt calls her Mrs. Grubman. I love how Christian keeps looking over at her and smilinng with his eyes. This is one of the most touching scenes in television history. I was bawling my eyes out during this scene. This show is so good. Great cast.
@Setavera It's from the TV series Nip/Tuck, a drama series about plastic surgeons. Mrs Grubman, the lady singing, was one of their repeat customers and her last wish was to be the best looking corpse since Zsa Zsa Gabor. Now she is dead and they are making her look her best. She said that she used to be a singer and was nearly Burt Bacharach’s ‘girl’ but got passed over in favour of Dionne Warwick. In this fantasy sequence she seems to be alive again and singing with Burt.
So Pretti, THANK GOD!!!! not ugly like nikki and FARDI D singers...🤣 I am only in 30's, and mom and dad had taste for good music and interesting shows...
I know this is old but I wanted to provide some context. Mrs Grubman (the woman singing played by the lovely Ruth Williamson) would go to Christian (the gentleman performing surgery) for various improvements aka plastic surgery. Sean his biz partner left a gauze in her during a tummy tuck and Mrs Grumman threatened to sue for ten million but Christian offers to sleep with her and offers her a lifetime of plastic surgery which she accepts although she doesn’t sleep with him since she still loves her long dead husband. However she dies of lung cancer. Mrs Grubman had told Christian that when she died she wanted to look her best so Christian is performing post mortem plastic surgery to give her exactly what she requested. She had given him a CD of when she use to sing in her youth with Burt Bacharach (the man at the piano) Many surgeons play music while working so he played her CD while he was performing his final surgery on her which is why he’s actually imagining that both Mrs. Grubman and Burt Bacharach are there. Thank you Burt, Rest in peace.
No masks. Infection of implants. Liposuction is really gross to watch. This is considered entertainment? The song is great but really. I hate medical shows.
