Saw a video from the 50's with homer circle putting at Hardy. He said "We're fishing Spring River... the number 1 smallmouth river in the country". They caught some nice ones.

awesome video... I love catching trout...but I LOVE catching the smallies... if you want to see a place where they are built differently and get BIG...come on up to the Susquehanna River! Lake Erie also has some monsters!

It all good to me, we don't have small bass or walleye here but I appreciate that your working with Leland Lures your making it so easy for us on the west coast to get hard to find tackle we can't find our shops here the trout magnet and D2 jigs I ordered with this new kit is on the way but I really love my previous order of the crappie magnet with the eyehole jigs. Hope the Walleyes start biting and lucky Jay is with you guys. Love your bundles your putting together, Joey.

That looks like mammoth springs. That place is beautiful. Spring river is clear,.spring fed water. Good place to go tubin in the summer, or rafting. Thank you guys!!!!

That was a great session! I’m up in Northern VA and we have a large pond next to my office. There is a MAMMOTH of a snapping turtle living in it. I got up close one day and it has to be at least 30 lbs. I won’t dare touch it though!

You're at the mouth of the Warm fork of the Spring river you're about 3 miles below thayer Missouri. If you go upstream About a 1😅/2 mile there is a fish hatchery on the left. In the late 50s a floodwashed outAll the breeding stock of small mouth and large mouth bass and trout. Endto Spring river. I grew up in Thayer Missouri.

Cole, that beautiful stretch of the river where you were catching all those Smallies should be illegal to fish. lol I have never in my life seen so many quality Smallmouth caught in an area anywhere like you did in this video. They are my favorite fish to catch and that would be a dream for me to fish a spot like that. The Trout you caught were also beautiful and you caught several real dandys. Im glad you know what youre grabbing, ive seen so many people misidentify a snapping turtle and call it a alligator snpping turtle lol. Theres definitely a difference in the two.

Cole could you do a video 📹 on the type of equipment you use? Kayak/ manual/electric/ type of big boat?kinds of reels and polls for trout/ then small mouth..types of polls and reel combination for white fish and strippers...different reels androids for catfish? Thanks..😮😊

I grew up in that area in the 50s in the early 60s you're standing in front of a coal Springs bridge and you're going to be going upstream to dam one And the mouth is warm for river When you're up next to d*** one the big brown building on the left handsure is a fantastic restaurant owned by my brother's sister-in-law

The dam that you are just below is dam number one built before the Civil War Downstream dam 2 Was destroyed in the Civil War Is damn 3. Dam number 1 held the lake From the artesian Spring. The lake from the Spring was drained down to take pressure off as the dam so you just have a stream coming out of a through a state park now.

Speaking of snap snappers, have you seen any of the gator types around your house with the lake drained? I was hoping AGFC would’ve taken this opportunity to get a good idea on the population there.

I used to eat those things back in my teenage years. It was a real pain in the ASS to clean! Cut the head off, but they still scratch and claw through the rest of the process. As Arrrrnald said to the Predator... "One ugly Motherf***er!"

I use the old town sportsman 106 with Minn kota. It is the most user friendly and I think best one on the market. Can’t recommend it enough

BTW. I have caught trophy brown trout here on the White River in Batesville. Since I'm not a trout person I gave it away to a guy who mounted it.

I love that I was able to see this video I recognize Spring river that you were fishing on And where the warm fork of Spring river and Spring river come together just behind the d*** that you were talking about is one of the largest single artesian Springs in the United States I used to swim in it when I was growing up your at mamoth Springs Arkansas just North of there isThayer Missouri. The artesian Spring is 55° year round.

I rather see the smallmouth fishing. Trout fishing is just lame. I drive an hour to fish a smallmouth river before driving 10 minutes down the street to the local stocked creek.
