I just wanted to say it’s not an amp chip it’s operational amplifier (OP amp), cool thing. Maybe add a button on wires, strap it to your hand and that’s what turns on the distortion
I had this little amp boost module called an LP-1 by electro harmonix or some other outfit but it was night and day, night being normal, and day being now your amp is a marshall stack. really a small signal boost with some distortion but it was mid-70s and to get distortion you had to buy a big muff.
There already was guitars with built in effects carts they made a ton of modules if I had enough money there's a kay version in Seattle for sale just finding the effects carts is hard as hell
Made a whole video about LM386 distortion/fuzz and doesn't even show how it's done. For those who are wondering, it's just a LM386 mono amplifier board you can buy for less than a dollar. It already has screw and pin terminals. You can also use 2 of those in parallel like in this video. A 3pdt toggle switch for bypass. You can also experiment with clipping diodes. The board also have a trim pot that you can desolder and replace with a big pot to control output.
Honestly no.. I would not buy it.. mostly because I don’t really buy anything.. but also because a pedal, on its own has and demands so much control.. a guitar with effects seems to confusing, and if it’s not, it won’t hit the depths I need.. but if it does I can’t decide what pickup I want to use.. but if I can.. it may be too confusing, how many effects are we talking about? Just one.. I’d probably just mod my own guitar to do that.. which I didn’t do the way you did.. 😢🤦♂️❤️🤘
Man this is so cool. I use those lm386 boards to make pedals. Seeing this make me wanna put all the weird stuff I use to make pedals in guitars. When I bought the lm386 boards I actually bought another different lm386 with a pot on that isn't a tiny trim pot. I also bought these pt2399 echo boards and isd1820 stuff. Why stop at lm386 fuzz my brometheus. Add a slap back and looper lol. My channel as me making stuff with all of them. Also I guess I could just check your socials and pitch ideas you might not read lol.

But what is going to chew through all my 9 v batteries so they are empty when they get thrown in the ocean for turtles to eat without pedals to empty the batteries first the turtles will get zapped and if i dont need pedals anymore whats the point in playing electric guitar half the fun is stomping on pedals
