Anyone know why it only works the second time? I shoot the first one after lining it up but it misses and where I'm looking changes even though I didn't move my mouse.

This is great for post-plant though. While your teammates plant you can just stack two there and stall the enemies

This is fine for stalling, but you get more picks with the standard one because it works when they've already committed to the tunnel and can't easily find cover. You also have to throw this after the buy barrier, and might give yourself away with sound cues, and/or get caught out in the open by a fast push. Could be a good switch-up after they get used to the standard one-way, though, and might be best setting it up for a teammate and just holding and angle on boxes instead.

You can probably set it up fast if u go to position before just like attacking A site cage. But you wont be able to go to back site fast enough if they rush not unlike that default 1 way

Lineup isn't situational like some comments say, just set up and get in position - when the barrier breaks you can instantly toss and if you hear them rushing you can then INSTANTLY make use of it.

I don't see why this is better than the first one. Defender Pov looks about the same... Maybe it's because it's easier to do

Only situation I see this working in is if your on attack and it’s post plant and you need to watch spawn flanks.

I knew a harder version of placing it and honestly I’m glad I saw this cause it’s way easier to do consistently

I actually use this cage and it works very well. The only flaw would probably be that you have to wait until the barrier goes down, and if you throw the cage, they will hear it and know that you're in B site so they rotate everytime because they hate me. So yeah, most of the time, I still use the classic, old but gold, one way cage. Edit: Pros: This would be good with team synergy like Sage's slows or any agent that can blind like Skye, KAY/O, Omen, etc. Or a teammate ready to cover fire for you at default. Cons: Needs barrier to throw the cage and you have to reposition so it's very weak for fast agents such as Jett and Neon.

One flaw, if they push you’re screwed or you need to burn a one way for escape, overall the og one is better

Cypher main here, unnecessary pimpage, you cant set this up during buy phase but the normal one you can, this would only be good for post plant or against a slower team as it will act as a one way for a longer distance back

While split is gone i will still criticize because I’m a huge nerd for cypher setups and have experimented with A LOT of them and I mean A LOT, the cage is good because it’s better than the simple one and gives that tiny more assurance that your hard work won’t be destroyed BUT getting back to your sage spot you play from is risky I have an insane one way for a main on bind but it requires it to be thrown after the barrier and places like there I have been shot trying to go back to lamps, you can count this by having a friend but not all of us are so lucky and teammates won’t always cooperate+ it seems to be pixel perfect what is fine if you have the time but it will fail at times when in need
