🇻🇳 Hanoi, and Vietnam in general, is home to some of the most diverse and delicious cuisine in the world. There's countless options to choose from, whether it's the better-known noodle dish "pho", or the dish president Obama tried when he visited Hanoi, "bun cha". But there's one dish I've never tried in my three years here, known as "mì gà tần".
I first learned about this dish from my friend @TraitimchangtraiNhat-KiKiJp who asked me if I'd like to make a video with him on the topic.
This dish is wild. It's a pigeon, stuffed in an old beer can and cooked in a variety of medicinal herbs, giving it a sweet, medicine type flavor. There's two types of pigeon to choose from, black and white. I personally couldn't taste much of a difference between the two, but apparently the black species is rarer and more expensive, and supposed to be more delicious.
