Sr's Elk Hunting trip in Nevada was awesome! The country was beautiful and there were bulls and cow elk everywhere. We stalked elk across the mountains for miles and got within range a few times. Watch the video to see what happened and why we never posted the hunt.

Nice video! Hunting isn't always about bagging the game. There have been times I'm out deer hunting for a whole week and never shot a deer, but I've seen some cool things. One of my favorites was a hawk coming out of the sky and trying to snatch this red squirrel out of a tree about 30 yards from me. That squirrel managed to get away, but that was cool to see in person. I've also seen owls, flying squirrels, and coyotes.

That was great to see you knowing your limits with the muzzleloader. I think a lot of hunters shoot beyond their capabilities and either injure the animals or miss altogether. In Minnesota we are now allowed to use scopes on muzzleloaders so it adds a lot to your accuracy and extends your range. You still have to get a precise shot like bow hunting at any distance because it takes so long to reload for a follow-up shot. Nice video, even if you didn't fry any meat.

I think that it is good to see that level heads prevail and you don’t wound something that could run away and be wasted. There are to many so called hunters that would say F it and take a shot and let the chips fall where they may. A good hunter knows his limitations and the limitations of his equipment. That's hunting man, you dont always tag out. Sharing any footage of yours hunt or everyone to see may help a young new hunt see that any cant get skunked. It may even show some tactics or mistakes that anyone watch can learn from. Keep posting and share videos man it's all good.

The only ways to hunt elk in my state, Pennsylvania, is to go to places where a company owns the land and brings animals that can survive the ecosystem over like elk and stag

Truly an ethical hunter. I have seen videos where jack asses would take that 275 yard shot with a muzzle loader. Not every hunt ends with a filled tag, and ethical hunts very rarely end with wounded animals. Great video and hope you fill that tag next time.
