I didn't think it was that maddening, since it's already established that Takeo sees this in a very realistic point of view, so it made sense that he trusted his friend more than any doubts or suspicion of what might be paranormal. I myself would've reacted the same up until the last ending honestly, and it isn't as if he didn't believe that the paranormal wasn't real without ground evidence since it was usually the camera scenes that made him believe at that point, he just needed something other than his own vision since again, he's probably going to consciously think that it's a 'psychological reaction'. And ironically, him trusting Hana in every situation is a psychological reaction too. You unconsciously do things when you're scared, and one of them is hanging on on what you perceive is comforting, even if there's a possibility that it isn't. It isn't as if the protagonist was aware that he's in a horror game or that Hana was a deranged lunatic, all he knew was that it potentially might be fake since sheer coincidences of the light disappearing and Hana suddenly missing isn't enough to establish paranormal activity. It should be enough to have doubts, though the protagonist was doomed the moment he exhibited the psychological reaction and pushed this narrative of reality.

@@Thelothuo It could make for a pretty entertaining comedy of errors, between the medium being too inexperienced to realize what's happened, the ghosts arguing over the planchette/medium, and the disconnected answers to questions they all give to the querent when it's their turn. The contrast between the oblivious living and the contentious dead could make for a modern comedy of manners, as well. I like it!

@@GIO-oo8vl I know, I can't believe it either. They summoned evil demons and murdered someone AGAIN just to spark excitement in the slumber party. Like, it's starting to get annoying and unoriginal. It's not a good trick to use in throwing a slumber party. They didn't even bother to bring out the snacks, not even the classic game where the one who loses gets sacrificed and sent to the monster realm to suffer for eternity.

But you don't know if they are asleep, or if there is a ghost. So it's a question you ask, knowing you'll either get a "no" or a lack of an answer. However it invites the person to make themselves known. Yes isn't always the answer your looking for, "No" means a lot as well. If I may ask, how would YOU inquire if a sleeping person is asleep, or if there is a ghost in the room.

If they answer you they’re not asleep. Duh🙄 And if some unknown force answers your question then regardless of what you ask they’re clearly there. A ghost saying no they’re not there is completely redundant if just by answering the question shows the ghost is there. Again duh🙄 Why would I ask an obviously sleeping person if they’re asleep?😹 And no matter what I ask a ghost, any response a ghost makes will show they’re there. A “yes” or “no” answer isn’t complicated or deep. You’re either one or the other. It’s not that deep. Especially if you’re asking simple questions. “Are you here? Yes or no?” That ain’t deep. And again anything a ghost would answer will tell you they’re there
