Hi Martin and Sharon i don't normally comment but i feel it's time too. You guys are good people and so is Lee but as i watched your video around mid way through you were talking about Lee and you were keeping it sensible civil and polite about you and Lee and what was happening with the trollettes, you then towards the end of the video really started having a go at him in as much as saying he was fuelling the fire, i don't think this is the case and not what Lee would intend i'm sure, and i see both views everyone has a right to an opinion even misled or bad one's as Lee says but i agree with you also hate should never be allowed and cyber bullying is a blight on not just youtubers but anyone who has a computer/phone/tablet. Maybe you and Lee should sort it out, stubborness and pride can get in the way don't let it, maybe you two could get some other youtubers together and make a video about the the trollettes like a bunch of you using your voices in defence of all people who suffer from cyber bullying that would be good to see. Lee is an amazing person unfortunately some of us though find ourselves in a position where we put our foot in the mouth without realizing and things come out in the wrong tone or manner even though it's meant to be a joke I speak from experience and he reminds me a lot of myself when Martin jokes it's fully transparent and shows in his tone and mannerism you cannot take it serious but when Lee would say certain things like me it's meant to be a joke but it doesn't remotely come out like that I really hope this issues resolved
I fully understand and sympathise with your frustration and upset. I’m not a fan of social media and other than RU-vid I tend to avoid it as it’s full of keyboard warriors and trolls who’s only achievements in life is to shout and insult others in order to give their insignificant and underachieving lives purpose. There is a huge gap in the law relating to Social Media. Even threats to harm or life can be difficult to prosecute without extreme difficulty and additional evidence. E Mail abuse and threats are slightly easier to deal with and repeat offenders to your address can be prosecuted under stalking legislation. I know this is of no comfort to you with your current situation but we all need to badger and press politicians to legislate against this behaviour. Our laws are simple inadequate for the digital age! As regards those who question or comment why you can’t resolve your differences with a former friend I’m afraid life is not that simple. I spent 31 year of my professional life dealing with disputes and more often than not they never get resolved to both parties satisfaction. It’s not a perfect world, we are all different and regardless of age they still happen. Incidentally I saw you and the family in the Cafe last week but didn’t say hello as I didn’t want to disturb your meal. All the best to you both, just take satisfaction that the majority of subscribers have the sense to realise these personal attacks are unwarranted, unfounded and disgraceful. Unfortunately until the law catches up with time there is very little that can be done. It’s a fact that these idiots have the ability to say things via keyboard they would never do to your face.

Maybe because the trolling comments are being made on a website, and not RU-vid. Martin and Lee can control what is being said on their RU-vid channels, but apart from seeking legal action against the trolls, or whoever hosts the website the comments are being made on take them down, there isn't anything RU-vid can do about it.
I amongst a whole bunch of other folk love what you do and are privileged to be welcomed into yours and your families lives. These negative trolls need to get a life and let people be happy! They’re just jealous, and clearly are not happy in their own lives that they need to make others hell. Don’t succumb to them. Agree you need to report them. Trolls are all over, not just RU-vid!!! Everyone has an opinion and freedom of speech, they all have their views, the problem is thats the curse of RU-vid and other platforms where members of the public can put themselves in the public domain, once its out there then its open to all sorts of flak, both good and bad, its got people talking at least, personally there has to be two sides to the argument by deleting comments and only showing the ones you agree with is very one sided, there needs to be balance good and bad, everyone needs to see the full picture.
I don't delete people who leave comments that I don't agree with, that's the trolls saying that because they have been deleted. They don't have an opinion. We don't let the actual trolls get to us but these vile people are committing a crime, Defamation and Libel are both crimes and are accountable by law. I have heard they are closing in on the owners and it could get stopped in the near future but its also the vile people on the website I want to get to. There's only about 12 of them so i'll probably log it with the Police with all the screenshots and wait till the machinery is there to deal with them. Apparently the laws exist in Scotland and people can get jailed for up to 7 years. Here's hoping it changes here soon.
@@butlersempire yes in Scotland it's a bit different, however it's still not clear and straight forward, the problem I see with trolls is feeding them, they get a rise out of these reactions, but I suppose it gets to you enough to get a response, I don't know it's a double edged sword, it's this sort of thing that's stopped me posting any content as once you're out there you're out there, but at what cost, ignore them log it and report to RU-vid ?

Trouble is I fear this doesn't work. It spoils the videos (personal drama not entertainment) and doesn't change the behaviours of people who don't care. I also do think there has to be some dissent sometimes otherwise youtube is so unmediated and sometimes people put ideas into circulation that do need to be questioned. The only time I have commented (never on your videos) was when I thought some balance was needed - even then I got met with some aggression from the youtuber which was uncalled for because I was polite and because they must take responsibility for the influence they might have (I feel a bit like that when Martin gets too 'evangelical' (his word) about the diet) but haven't commented. So, how do we find that sweet spot? Very difficult and it is hard to understand what people get from making these comments but they clearly get something. I think anyone putting anything personal on youtube is very brave because this stuff is inevitable. It is a small slice of celebrity in a way but with none of the protections. Wish you well. Government policy will do nothing about this because the culture there is of a free speech which shows little respect (depending whose free speech it is of course).
Yeah being a youtuber must be hard. If it’s not the trolls. You have channels fighting with each other. I’ve seen this many times with all different channels. Always having to come up with new content. That takes a lot of work. Then someone comes along with some criticism and the youtuber feels hurt. I know i couldn’t be arsed with it. You need thick skin that’s for sure. A lot of the criticism Martin gets is because a lot of people think he’s far too sensitive. Jumps straight for you if you don’t agree with him. Trolls will 100% jump on that. Tbh thinking about it. Trolls put in just as much effort to troll people as youtubers do for their content. Only difference is. They don’t get paid for it. 🤣
So what if people want to show appreciation for what you do, it's nothing to do with anyone else. Keep taking me on holiday, showing me different things I can do with my airfryer, places I can visit etc. You and your family are fun and pleasant keep on doing what you do ❤❤❤❤

Just watched this and find it sad that jealous people with nothing better to do can spend time upsetting people that work hard to share their experiences - no hard sell or criticism of other people etc - just chatting about their lives and things they use etc. This is the type of thing that the legal system should target and bring the sick people to account. What a horrible situation Martin and Sharon, I'm so sad for all of you. Forgetting the trolls for the moment, it's always upsetting when friends fall out, for both parties. I truly hope that one day you can both move on from your disagreement and meet again on common ground. We all have disagreements and some can be more upsetting than others but I always try to think that life is so short and the world is so full of trouble that it's always the better solution to make peace. Sometimes we have to agree to disagree, and that's ok, and sometimes we never have quite the same relationship with that person and that's ok too, but at least we've made peace. It's good to read that Lee has and will continue to take down any unpleasant comments. As for the trolls. clearly they're not wired right are they? It must be extremely upsetting for both you and Sharon and the rest of your family and it doesn't matter how much everyone tells you not to worry and ignore them you are still going to hurt, and that's why they do it, but you already know that. I started by watching your airfryer videos and have since watched your Tenerife holiday and when you got home so I don’t know about your family or friends at all. I’ve seen other RU-vidrs leave the platform over trolls and that’s sad. Trolls just want to get a rise out of you, it would be much worse to be them wouldn’t it, I say rise above it. I will say that your home and the area you live in is gorgeous and I am glad you’re happy there, the houses looked fabulous that you passed by on your walk and that camping place looked like a lovely spot. We always take people as we find them, you guys seem like real genuine and decent people and that's where it stays for us, so we will keep watching, TBH we never miss an episode and try to catch your live on your Sunday specials. Baffles me the lengths people go to, to troll people like creating websites/ forums just to slag people. These trolls must be severely unhappy in there own lives to make time out of there day to write nasty things. Cyber bullying is not quite there yet, however it’s just a matter of time before people have to face the consequences of there foul mouths!!
