Ok but for real imagine the pressure Blue was must’ve been feeling during this scene. They literally put him in there with the only female of his kind and told him “This is your only chance to save your species. Don’t blow it!” 😉👍
The entire beginning of the movie was abt then going extinct and needing the last two to mate. How did y’all misunderstand them saying they were gonna mate like 9 times? It was the whole point.
@piss I knew what mating was as a child. Not detail for detail, but like, you can only see a cat or other animal hump another so many times before you realize, "ooo that's when the babies happen." I think I researched a lot more than most kids though since I was pretty inquisitive and sneaky at a young age. Probably wouldn't have learned much from a sex ed class that I didn't already figure out tbh 😅 Kids can find things out, not that crazy to understand. Some are more innocent than others, others are more aware. Not all kids develop the same way in the same types of households that would punish you for mentioning the word sex like it's a curse word lol
@piss ...What does that even mean? How was I NOT a kid when I was younger? You do know that the requirements for being a kid isn't that you have to be stupid or oblivious, right? You seem to think there is something crazy about a child being informed or something. I mean, if you mean right now, then yeah, I'm not a kid now. But when I was I knew what mating was, plain and simple. Stop complicating it like it's weird. There is nothing abnormal about an educated child who knows more than others at a certain age group.
@@Th99thKnight...no you're thinking fish, almost every other animal other than fish reproduce with sex. Just because it lays eggs doesnt change that. Except fish cause fish do things in the wrong order.
Bro as a kid they straight up said in the movie that they were needing blue to mate to save his kind, if you didn't get this as a kid you were either super young or very sheltered
@@ZipTheSilliest That was the entire plot of the movie though...I definitely understood this scene when I was younger. Kids aren't as dumb as you may think they are
Fun facts: This species went extinct in the wild a few years ago. However, due to supervised breeding programs, they have been reintroduced to their homeland and are slowly rising in number.
I have no clue why but 6 year old me understood this perfectly and laughed my ass off while all the other elementary kids just sat there confused and the teachers had to shut me up 😂
All of these video are like "I had to exist through the heat death and rebirth of multiple universes to understand this scene" and they're all the most basic, straightforward, slightly sexual things in existence
"Only big-brained intellectuals will get this joke." The joke: "I want to bone her. This is a 20-minute presentation I made detailing my intention to bone her. I will be playing this presentation as I bone her. I also have some pamphlets and t-shirts for the audience, and a book I wrote in print and audio form."
Pov: you realise the whole movie was about stopping the extinction of the blue macaw but they are now extinct in the wild irl. The message didn’t get through.
Actually , they have recently been re-introduced into the wild. The release was in Brazil in the state of Bahia 😄 I live in that state so I really hope that the reintroduction evolves well and the number of specimens grows, maybe even having the opportunity to see one.
There are still some in captivity for breeding purposes. They just didn't exist in the wild anymore. Although, I think I've heard something about the ones that were in captivity being reintroduced to the wild some time ago.
Considering that Beavis in the episode Breeding Frenzy commented how he thought a dog was attractive, I am pretty sure he would go as far as trying to hit on a bird.
Definitely, I was laughed at for being broke and wore ripped up shoes, I came back in the 7th grade with a 1975 Cadillac Fleetwood. She gave in quick and even tho I go broke sometimes she still knows what's good. Never give up on the rizz for sure
They were so clear with it- people over 9/10 would have understood eitherway, i mean.. they did bring blu and jewel together to mate to save their species.. and that was established in the movie
Y'all are crazy in this comment section. The movie target age is around 5-12. Most kids under 8 would not know exactly what they meant in this scene. They would understand they are the last two and need to "save the population", and they would understand mommy and daddy need to have kids. However, they would not understand that IN THIS SCENE, he thought he was about to get some. She isn't saying "kids don't understand they need to reproduce." She's saying "kids wouldn't understand he thought he was about to have sex." Most kids would just think "oh, he thought he was going to kiss her", and that's usually the extent. Stop calling other people stupid. The only ones acting stupid and illogical here is you all.
At the time watching this scene since it came out (I’m not sure when), I didn’t even know what was going on and completely went over my head. but it still disgusted me anyways, regardless of what the intent is when I knew that later on. Lol.
Ok just to make everyone clear in case: Before the blue bird met the girl bird, two other birds told him about getting a girl and some other stuff. He took their advice and thought kissing her was what she wanted because of the two bird’s advice.
Huh…? Lol I understood this perfectly as a child 😂 isn’t the entire setup to this scene talking about how they are going to try to get the birds to reproduce?
I can clearly tell from the comments who was “sheltered” as a kid, versus those who could watch nature documentaries with no problem of their parents worrying about it.
The movie was crystal clear about what was happening, but I will admit I still felt a little surprised seeing it again. Probably because at that age I couldn't even imagine what sex would look like, so this scene hits different due to my... evolved life experience, so to say. 😅😂
@@dracoorian3029 me and everyone I knew around like what...1st, 2nd grade only really remembered the song midway thru the movie, kids aren't as dumb as we think, they're way dumber, but at the same time observant and can learn reeeeaall fast and that's what makes them smarter than most anticipate when it really matters
@@sunshineandbandicoots8587 nowadays yes they are I was thinking more of the kids that came before these kids where dirty jokes were common practice. Nowadays you say a dirty joke you get in trouble because someone has hurt feelings.
I knew exactly what he thought it was, they were openly stating how they needed to “mate” and I knew when a mommy and daddy loves each other very much… yeah 😭😂
That aside. Now that i have parrots as an adult. Watching him climb a ladder with his beak instead if flying is very endearing. I love it when they do that.
I'm pretty sure if you paid attention to the movie you would've already got the idea of what's going on, in a earlier scene the human characters said they need to breed the two birds because it's the last of their kind They were not being vague about it AT ALL
@@drewmcgary2872 didn't they also say mate like we need them to mate. English isn't even my first language and i knew what the word meant from watching nature documentaries on tv when I was little. So when I heard they need to mate I was like oh they need to make babies
Bruh the movie makes it so clear blue needs to mate with her or their species die. Like they literally play romantic songs for the birds to get it on how did you not get this.
