Actually that’s only partly true. The heads at glitch are Asian American but there’s an Australian company backing them and providing voice actors too(hense why everyone in meta runner and half the murder drones cast is Australian)

"The rabbit character is giving off Hazbin Hotel voice actor vibes." This is because Jax is voiced by Michael Kovach; the same guy who voices Angel Dust! He also voice acted as N from Murder Drones, as well as Noi from Aphmau's Roleplay Series.

Gooseworx has already confirmed that Caine is just an AI, and he isn’t necessarily evil, he does actually want to help them. It’s not really made clear throughout this pilot if he’s bad or not, but at the end he does say he knows they wanted an exit but he didn’t know what to do for it.. so maybe he was trying to make something to help them feel better? But I’m not very sure.

Yeah, I saw someone say that he might just have vague knowledge of the office space of where the computer running the whole thing is located which is why he couldn't finish it. Like training an ai on only images of a city and asking it to make a forest

Something I did think about: When he shouts "Digital Halluciations!" at Pomni and looks worried, it's because he realised that someone talking about seeing an exit = about to go crazy and abstract (See Kaufmo), so he is worried she's going down the path already and wants to stop it. He's a program, and thinks in code: If someone is talking about a thing with no definition, then the inability to complete the algorithm may cause errors and abstraction, thus he makes an "exit" to give the term a definition. It won't work ofc, but it's logical to him.

Some people speculate that Caine was one of the original programmers of the digital circus. Something that some pointed out is that he never says that you can’t leave, he kinda just deflects off of saying it. (More likely you can leave but he probably forgot about it or he never properly made one). That one logo you saw when pomni is running around that exit door office space had the letters C&A on it. That office space was probably cain’s old work place.

I was wondering about that - for some reason C & A reminded me of “Cain and Able”, like the biblical story? I wonder if maybe Caine is based on Cain. And the idea is that his brother betrayed him and wanted the business for himself, so he stuck Caine in the computer. The question is how everyone else got there though.

Programmers tend to incorporate their thought patterns into their code, so Caine could be programmed by one specific person as well. I think he’s an AI. Or if we want to go supernatural, he could be the uploaded consciousness copy of one of the programmers.

Glad you caught the end scene resembling the last supper. Not sure if it was intentional but it sure looks like it. I’m also personally betting the C&A logo stands for Cain(e) and Abel, which would make 2 biblical references. Gooseworx, creator of the show, has said Caine’s not evil. Most of the main cast (excluding Bubble) are humans, but Caine and Bubble (and the Gloink Queen, but she’s not “main” cast) are AI. Gooseworx said that Caine just doesn’t understand humans very well, but he tries his best. Whether or not he’s keeping them here or if he genuinely doesn’t know how to let them leave, he has good intentions. He just has bad execution.

I think one of the best theories I’ve seen is that Jax is purposely playing scapegoat and is plotting how to let everyone escape. He turns resentment away from pomni to himself twice this episode, he regularly brings people away from spiraling by messing with them, tries to keep gangle and linger calm while escaping, and had a key to Kaufmo’s room with his bowling ball being next to a big photo of the exit on the wall when he just claimed he had no idea what pomni meant.

This pilot was incredible. I can't wait to see if this show continues. I would so love to see an Episode 2 *Episode 2 begins right from where we left off. The whole time everyone is eating, Pomni stares off into space, trying to make sense of this reality, or rather, virtual reality. Jax nudges Pomni* Jax: Yo Pomni *Pomni gets a little caught off guard* Pomni: Huh? Jax: Are you gonna eat your food or can I have it? *Pomni sighs* Pomni: Sure, I’m not in the mood for food anyway *Pomni gets up from the table* Pomni: I’m just gonna head to bed… *As Pomni leaves, Jax opens his mouth really wide and finishes off everything on Pomni’s plate in one gulp. When Jax thinks she’s out of earshot, he finally speaks* Jax: So how much longer before she realizes she’s doomed to stay in this game for all eternity? Ragatha: Jax! *Ragatha throws a piece of virtual food at Jax* Jax: Well I’m right, aren’t I? *Jax turns his head towards Caine, and Caine darts his eyes nervously* Caine: Oh well uhh- would you look at the time? I have some- important matters to attend to. Good night everyone! Or- good morning, umm- bye! *Caine leaves* Jax: Well that was weird *Ragatha facepalms. We cut to Pomni walking up to her door. Her hand reaches towards the doorknob, but she pauses. By her face, we can see she is uneasy and nervous to walk into her room. After a moment, she shakes her head, takes a breath, and finally opens the door. We can see it’s a black void at first, with one white pixel in the center. But after a few seconds, pixel by pixel, it starts transforming into an actual room. Or at least, as actual as a room can get in a virtual reality. There are yellow walls, a bright blue bed with dark blue sheets, a fuzzy round yellow carpet placed underneath the bed, and two red nightstands on either side with a framed picture on one of them. All the colors clash, and we can see Pomni grimace a bit as she walks inside and lays down on the bed and goes to sleep. We then see her dream. A young adult is seen crying on the curb on a rainy night. She then sees a young man extend his hand* Man: You seem…overwhelmed. I can take you somewhere where you can get away from everything. What do you say? *The word “say” echoes as we see Pomni turn in her bed. We then cut to another part of her dream where the young man is handing her a headset* Young man: You remember the terms, right? *The young woman nods. Around her we see other people wearing VR headsets. Above each of them is a screen that shows a certain number of days. “Day 12” “Day 17” “Day 4”. A headset lowers above the woman’s head. The man looks at someone next to him on a computer* Man: Everything ready, Caine? *Caine answers solemnly* Caine: All set Aldrin… *Aldrin nods at the young woman, and she puts on the headset. As soon as she does, we can hear a few seconds of pained screaming and groaning. The girl tries to take off the headset but her whole body is paralyzed. She can barely move. Caine looks away; eyes full of guilt, and Aldrin smirks* Aldrin: Let the games begin… *Pomni suddenly shouts and bolts out of bed. Her eyes are wide open and her breath staggers. She looks at her hands; they’re shaking* Pomni: Caine and Aldrin. Caine and Aldrin. Caine and Aldrin *She repeats this multiple times before finally calming down a little. She takes a deep breath and lies back down. She stares at the ceiling and fidgets with her fingers* Pomni: He knows something… *Pomni balls her hands into fists* Pomni: He knows something… DISCLAIMER: THIS IS FANMADE BY THE WAY. By me. Honestly I think i was way too excited when writing this script, looking back at it, it all just seems kinda confusing and some things probably don't even make that much sense. What I know all of the American shows like Disney Channel PBS kids I know that said the science kid was another cool one and lots of other shows two that are on Disney Channel mostly and they also have universal kids plus go Jetters is another cool one other than curious George as well even though it’s been a long time since I seen that and super why as well and I think that was it other than it’s been a long time since I’ve seen super kitties and a couple others other than super wings and Fireman Sam I know that was another good series to and a couple other things that were on boomerang to even though I don’t remember that much about boomerang but I think those were all the British probably American commercials that you would see plus, I don’t know where Pac-Man and the ghostly adventures would fit in either. I know that was cool, plus they left me a big mysteries. Hopefully we get to see season three because so far they’re going on a mystery trip and the last thing I remember about that I think is when the ghost pirates attacked anyway, it’s been a long time since I’ve seen that show as well plus if there are any other ones other than JoJo circus, which was on Disney Channel as well and then they had playhouse Disney because I definitely remember Playhouse Disney I wish they would bring some of these back like playhouse, Disney or at least keep it like Disney Channel just add all the stuff I remember when I was a kid again but make it like live action if you wanted to or like newer and better episodes like in Fireman Sam that I’ve mentioned at the top

Jax admittedly seems stuck in the Anger stage of grief; he's using schadenfreude to make his own life better, at the expense of others. Out of every character in the whole Pilot, he's the only one we ever see get *mad* at something. The one who seems to have reached acceptance is actually Zooble, who has achieved a state of apathy and emotional distance, but seems pretty level headed, trying to ease Pomni's pain, while also giving her solid facts. Ragatha is still trapped in her Denial phase, trying to use every sliver of that silver lining to make this day better, drowning herself in good vibes to help maintain her sanity. Kinger is hard to place, due to his psychosis: he's clearly disassociating from reality, as even his short term memory seems frayed.

Yeah with Kinger freaking out nearly every few seconds he’s on screen makes me agree with Zooble, Kinger is the most likely to b abstracted sooner than the others but he’s always on the very edge 😰

@docavar5698 Honestly, I'm more worried about Ragatha. Her method of coping is extremely dangerous. Kinger might be crazy enough that he's less likely to Abstract simply because reality is malleable to someone as disassociated as him.

The actual creators of the show have stated Cain isn't evil-, he's an A.I. that wants everyone who goes into the digital circus to feel comfortable... he does have this weird omnipotence sorta thing though where he can just do anything which I thought was neat. I feel like this show is a massive Allegory for Mental Health and coping with harsh realities. For instance, despite Jax being this rude, buggs bunny-like character he also saves Kingsler from being attacked and the fact he frowns upon first arriving in scene might be guilt. It's to be noted that every characters personality is themed around some sort of coping mechanism to some extent.

He knew not to stick around the abstracted Kofmo, saved Kinger and Gangle without saying it, noticed the glitched out pest as a problem and made sure the other's didn't see it, and of course like pointed out his reaction to kofmo being put into the cellar.

Ooooh I actually haven't heard it theorized before that Pomni being a jester and the timing of her arrival might be related to Kaufmo abstracting, Very interesting. @@calxiyn I heard someone mention it the black piece could’ve been a queen piece. But I do think the game is deciding avatars dependent on who’s left. I kinda wish the sock puppet guy was still around cuz that design would’ve been so cute lol

It seems so, but the major difference is that the AI in charge seems to be along for the ride like everyone else, and is just trying to accomidate anyone as best as he can. If there's a real villain in this series, I don't think we've seen them yet.

@@KiiBon If I remember sinopsis right, there was apocalypse, so it can be so, that Circus - is a way to save people who survive. I believe, Caine, as a programme, can not fully understand, what is "exit" their talking about. So there no real exit. One only thing He can do - is create "exit" for everyone. But because of poor understanding of "exit" he went into the loop of building one exit after another untill he understands it's pointless. (But there was a computer, so...) Also I have a theory that C&A is actually Caine (C and A → C an A → Caine) Caine was invented by C&A and called after it like Apple call there Smartphones this way

Jax couldn’t be the one there the longest since he’s the one to say Kinger was. He’s a trickster for sure, but I doubt he’d lie so blatantly for no conceivable reason. Also I just think there’s probably meaning to him being a King chess piece where there’s crossed out chess pieces. Maybe he knew them. Pomni becoming the jester around the time the clown abstracted leads me to think there’s probably reasons they look the way they do, hence the chess pieces being significant. Probably would lead to some sad story for Kinger.

I agree I think Kinger has been there the longest. Plus the creator stated that Jax is the youngest of the group. He and Zooble are both only 22, with Zooble being 6 months older. They could have gotten stuck as teens but I think it’s more likely that the older adults have been there longer.

I'm 90% sure this will be a show, glitch normally does this process 1) release trailer 2) release pilot and merch to fund the show, and create hype/theories 3) release trailer for the full season 4) release the new episodes (normally come out about a year after the pilot. 5) release merch with every episode ( only murder drones so far bc with their other shows they had the episodes ready and released them week by week so they only released merch at the end of the season) Out of glitch's 4 shows they have follow this formula with 2 of them, sunset paradise and murder drones they didn't with meta runner because the CEO's of glitch/ creators saved money for a long time do fund it, the other show that didn't follow this was ultra jump mania which was a spin off of meta runner that only got the pilot unless it was supposed to be one episode. Sorry for rambling

I've been a fan of Gooseworx for a long time, so I've been looking forward to this since it was announced however long ago. Something about the juxtaposition of psychological dark comedy with bright cheerful colors and wacky characters appeals to me. Gooseworx's pitch for the series was "'I Have No Mouth And I Must Scream' with the aesthetic of an 'I Spy' book," and the description on the official web page is "A woman gets trapped in a crazy virtual world along with five other humans and are now subject to the whims of wacky AI and their own personal traumas" (and also "What if it was Toy Story, but everyone was a jerk?"). The visuals are based on "I Spy" books and late-90s pre-generated CG computer games like "Kid Pix", "Day of the Tentacle", and "LEGO Island". Fun fact: Pomni has been stated to canonically be 25 years old, in response to people having made a bunch of (mostly foot-related) Rule 34 art of her.

I did pay attention to her hand while r was crawling on the floor and her hand wasn't glitching at that point. It could of been a mistake, they forgot to make her hand still glitch before caine snapped his fingers.

Cain and Abel might be a good angle. But I think the seven sins has been done to death and it's easy to spot that motif. Still, there are lots of angles of eternity, punishment, revenge within the Cain and Abel story that doesn't need to extend to the general concept of sin.

Zooble: 22 years old (older than Jax by half). It is unknown how long it was in the digital circus. Sex: Unknown. Kinger: Age 48, he is the one who has been trapped in Digital Circus for a long time. Sex: man. Ragatha: Age 30, she is the second one who has lasted the longest in the digital circus according to what the creator said./Sex: Woman. Caine: He is an artificial intelligence (he previously helped humans escape from the digital circus but gave up because there was no escape). Bubble: He is an artificial intelligence. Edit: Buy the merch to get a full season.

Glad yahll picked up om the pt aspect of the episode. Never heard of toy castle before so will see about checking it out. For me, jaxx was reminding me more of bendy and purple guy but we could just meet in the middle, eh? *laughs* Zooble feels like character i would have seen in courage the cowardly dog or even fosters Ragatha was reminding me of raggedy anne but also the comfy couch show (chuckled when hunter mentioned that and mentally shouted yes someone else also knows that show muhahaha)

people have most definitely commented on this, but jax having keys to everyone's room and saying "you've all been fine" is just implying (in my opinion) that he's been checking on everyone to make sure they are okay. Since there have obviously been those who lost it, so it's honestly sweet that since he has keys he checks on everyone. While still pranking them as well, he does care and worry for them. It also means that he is most likely looking for a way out as well, since he mentions that he has keys to everything/everywhere it wouldn't be surprising if he's been trying to find an exit, he just hasn't mentioned such since the others would assume he's starting to loose it

Not going to lie, I actually want this to replace Murder Drones now because this is brimming with loads more potential. Murder Drones feels like it's trying too hard to be scary, while this doesn't feel like it's trying to be that at all, yet it still manages to be even scarier, anyway.
