I love it, but I think "pure gold"'s a bit of an exaggeration. Not really hard to see that while developing a game about pure darkness, the HUD might literally be blindingly obvious.
A cool feature for this game would be like a replay mode or like a way to rewatch the match but with full brightness. So you can see all the times you walk past someone

This is an amazing idea from you guys. It's so simple yet so genius. I love it. If you bring it to PS5 it'd be the best possible version of the game due to haptic feedback. You could feel when you bump into stuff and maybe even feel vibrations from players around you.
Ngl those white dots when fully dark is such a good game design its a good indicator of where youre going while not being able to know where you're going
I know that RU-vid compression will take already dark videos and absolutely obliterate them into even more incomprehendible nothingness, but like.. were you guys actually able to see _at all_ ? Because I'm bewildered how you're all not running into walls and doors when your flashlights are off. I mean, it would be funny to see someone just running into a wall because they didn't want to take their flashlight out, but I think it's cooler if you're able to actually see the game, but just a _little_ bit, so that the flashlights are absolutely required Also, unrelated, but I love how this game has a constant mic; not only can you razz your friends when they end up finding you and you lose that fight, but it can also be used to draw the other players over to get revenge for you. I'm definitely interested in seeing how this game develops, and y'all should definitely play it when it gets fully released
I DID notice theres a mechanic to tell you if your near a wall the edge of your screen turns a little white when your rubbing against something, as a way to show sense of touch
@@shadekage3432 ah, that's what that was! I thought it was trying to show directional sound, the way some PvE/PvP games will use a red border on your screen to indicate damage, but limit it to a certain area to show the direction it came from
I beg you play more of this, this is hilarious and it's weirdly so satisfying watching you silently sneak up on people in the dark, I swear I held my breath for half of this vid
this game reminds me when I played it for real with my brother and a couple friends. We called it assassinate. All you need is a dark room and a few people and you use your hands like knives. Its fun and scary when you don't know who's behind you. you had to go for the neck and say assassinate when you tagged someone, real fun :D lmao
I don't know if it's possible, but I'd be fascinated if the dev could implement a RU-vidr/ streaming view. To make it so that the viewer can see what's going on when the torches are off yet the person playing can't. Have it a toggle so its upto the player if they want to give the viewer the authentic experience or a easier to watch experience.

Remove from tin when cold
