That Belmont whip tech is actually game-changing. Once you do it in game to your opponent, they'll always recover high.

Not always especially if the opposing character actually has a recovery that can hit opponents there fairly easily whilst rising. Most swordies hit there whilst rising and with disjoint so I doubt they'd get hit

@@Crescent716 true. There's a LOT of other characters that this does affect, though. If they either don't have a hitbox, or it doesn't reach through the stage, they're forced to recover high...or lose a stock. Shit was working against Mario consistently, and he's one of the hardest to 2 frame, because of his speed.

@@Neosxmarduk yeah it does affect a large amount. But I feel like it may not matter in a lot of important matchups. Like the characters it doesnt work against are all pretty solid characters.

5:30 Both Rebel's Guard and Revenge are actually coded as armor with extra properties, not counters. So technically they did test for super armor.

Nobody holds shield for multi-hits online anyway Similar boat as using leaf shield. Almost risk free against bots itching to drop shield

Zelda player here. If you reflect a phantom very close to its releasing point next to Zelda, it always pushes Zelda forwards because it changes the phantom's owner, which in turn changes who the windbox affects. This happens even though the phantom is facing the other way, because the windbox does not get reflected as an independent part of the move. That's what I've come to gather from many hours of playing this character anyways.

Not really. As a long time Richter main, I can tell you Richter is a character that is good as a counterpick FOR SPECIFIC match ups. His projectiles are pretty bad and you'd think Axe would be stronger, but no, it kills any character way above 100%. His air drifting is horrible, which means anyone comboing you has an easier time. Even if you SDI you can barely move. And then, there is the recovery. It sucks, it is super exploitable and even if you can defend yourself by throwing cross and do some manuveouring, many characters can gimp you easily

Belmont whip tech is especially potent against tether recoveries. Others like Marth might just knock the Belmont away and invalidate it, but as we saw, it pretty simply destroyed Byleth, and likely would do the same for Joker, Min Min, Ivysaur (albeit you could switch), many characters with Zairs, and the other tether recoveries. Utilized to the right extent and quick enough it could be meta changing. Also, I recently saw a glitch with Ridley insta killing Sonic when dodging his Nuetral b and then Side B-ing him. Maybe explore that if you have yet to see it!

I use the Belmont tech in doubles and if I'm behind my partner I set it up at roll distance on ledge so I don't have to risk hitting my partner. I want to come up with a good name for it but the best I got is the Super Castlevania 4

You guys didnt need to test super armor because you already did with Joker's counter. That gives him super armor until he releases the counter.

yeah but it's more than super armour, he gets reduced damage, and the release becomes a real counter if he gets hit. Almost same as "incineroar"s revenge

if there's a hitbox (on most of krool's moves) then it will destroy the instaKO projectile. Otherwise if the hitbox has disappeared (late aerial or taunt) then krool takes damage and has a chance to be instaKO
