I don't know, but it saddened me to watch a once happy and lively home, then later on abandon and become old and lonely place... it hurts me...maybe because it was once a happy home and neighborhood...💔😔
I guarantee it was retirees who lived there before. I remember my grandma used to have flower beds every where. Either one died and other went to a care facility or both died.
We also had a very cozy and good looking house in our neighborhood. We saw how spouse (man and woman) took care of it, they always would clean it or do something in the garden during weekends, sometimes with other relatives or friends. They also would decorate the house for Christmas, better and brighter than any other building in the neighborhood. But suddenly the wife died from cancer, and gradually their house got worse. Then husband also left the house. It was super sad to watch how recently beloved home now stays abandoned. Some time after, the house was leveled to the ground to build a parking lot. Every time I walk through it, I can’t get rid of the feeling how wrong it is 😢
I wonder how many Christmas and Thanksgiving dinners happened within those walls.... how many birthdays? How many childhood memories were forged?... how many quiet moments after hectic days... just... left.
I always feel emotional everytime I see videos from this channel. I'm not even familiar with the places but it makes me feel sad that the other memory-filled homes/area were abandoned.

Man my old house in Taylor was beautiful when my family owned it. 2 story home from the 1920s. It’s where I learned to do so much. The family we sold it to before I went to high school did not care for it. Came back from college and drove by, it’s just destroyed.
So sad our government let Flint Michigan down totally by not investing in upgrades throughout the city yet allowing people to die due to that Flint Water crisis while letting those responsible walk away without jail time !
These make me think about my own house and how easy it is to let the weeds get going. It takes a lot of effort to keep up. Each year I achieve or fail in some way. Winter is usually welcome as a break (it's easier to shovel) and each Spring is a new opportunity to make the yard great again.
Idk why but, abandoned house or buildings make me so sad. Maybe because I feel sorry for the people who put their hardwork into building it and also for the people who happily lived in it once. The home in the video was so beautiful 💖
My mom moved back to her hometown where she grew up after her retired. Every time i visited i would see some random houses nearby were emptg or abandoned. Since my mom grew up there some of it she once knew the owner. It's a weird feelings when my mom said this one house the owner was a rich man and it was once a very lively home filled with people. Then he passed away, and non of the next kin seems to takeover the house and moved to another states. So it stayed abandoned for many years. Many other houses were abandoned here and either on sale or just abandoned. It's just sad.

This is happening at course America to every big city. Every big city that used to be beautiful the blacks go in the gangs go in and they run it to the Ground. not true. since race is a defining factor for you, kensington philadelphia harbors more homeless white people than anyone, and that place is one of the worst in the nation. the only areas that have black neighborhoods like this are on the coasts & in the tri state region
I live in burton which is right next to flint and go by that house everyday on my way to school. It still sits vacant, but it looks like its getting taken care of now, so thats good

The house across the road had a texture like that and 2 weeks ago it set on fire and the firefighters were only protecting the soundings and not the house it self and so they sat there and watched there house burn down and there’s only the bottom floor that’s still there but has ash and there not able to get things out when the fire started and when they put it out.
Reminds me of a house in Opelika, it was right next to a retention pond, had a great lot, good view, 2 stories, and a private driveway. On WAS located on Andrews Road Opelika AL (1st AL. Gig City). The once lively awesome 2 story house was now, a litteral house frozen in time. We went inside, we saw a newspaper from 2010, they even had a phone to the wall! It had a big living room / sunroom! We couldn't go up the 2nd floor because the stairs were broken halfway up. I did see a room painted a turquoise color though. Windows were broken. From what i think now, i feel like someone robbed the place. There were still stuff inside the once luvley home on a pond. Plus, the windows looks like they were shot. Around late 2022, the house was demolished for a new house. A new neighborhood was built in front of the house across the pond. Its sad a once lively house goes to being abandoned and salvageable but instead, being demolished.

My friend lives in a well-financed neighborhood. At the end of their street was a beautiful 2 level house. There was once a family of seven there. Sadly, esta happens where 3 of the kids died in a storm, and the house sits abandoned to this day even with thier car in the driveway, dirty dishes pilled in the sink, old moldy food sitting on the counter, dog food still in a bowl, children’s chlothing still in the wardrobe. It’s sad to see for sure, but it’s a great location to be in cuz of how peaceful it is.
It’s sad because our grandparents kinda make our childhood a bit brighter and makes sense and all of a sudden it doesn’t anymore and that house doesn’t look like the one u use to spend ur Christmas and thanksgiving
The problem with Detroit Education system: we need intelligent people to rebuild houses/businesses, but a lot of them don’t know how to do that and do business the bad way (becoming pimps, selling drgs) Job resources and transportation: not many good jobs around to make money, the best jobs you’re gonna get around you are 9$ an hr. Times are tough and some people don’t have cars, so they have no choice but to work at those jobs Nutritional foods nearby: it’s always a struggle to get healthy, nutritional foods in Detroit. All the grocery stores sell old food or food thats going bad, fruit not fresh… people feel its a waste of money and buy fast food instead. Causing them to be in bad health and unable to work. No loving parents: this is one of the most important. Since they are raising the children of Detroits future they have to be mindful what they put inti their heads. If the child believes they are nothing, worthless and abused then they will grow up and have a lot of children and create more broken homes. Abandonment for too long: a lot of houses and businesses become are abandoned for way too long and no one rebuilds it into something. As you can see with other states and cities they rebuild an abandoned building within a few years, Detroit waits a decade to rebuild something. We need people to rebuild these abandoned houses, businesses, and neighborhoods. The crime and justice system: too many people are getting themselves in trouble, going to jail will be on your record. It may be hard to be able to be hired at a high paying job if you have a criminal record. If you are young, and have no criminal record, make sure it stays this way. Overall: If you want to make a change, try researching the best jobs near you, drink a lot of water and try to eat as healthy as you can, create your own positive happy environment, become God fearing, make sure your kids have good education. If no schools around are good and they are ghetto with bad educational systems, homeschool them. They’ll still have social skills if you take them out. Always make sure your kids know you love them. If you can, try creating a business or real estate to rebuild homes.
My dad did actually live in Michigan. When he turned 19, he moved to Arizona and shorty after my grandpa died, my grandma did too, leaving their old house abandoned

My thoughts whenever I go home to Flint and drive down the once vibrant city blocks. I hate that all that have to show my kids of my home is abandoned homes, school, lots. 😢
I went on Google maps and decided to look at a random place in Detroit. Found a place called “Gratiot Mini Mall” (12525 Gratiot Ave if you wanna find it yourself) it used to be a mall painted with signs and bushes and cars in 2008. Now it’s bordered up and abandoned.
My childhood home is in Flint. It was a beautiful brick duplex with me and my parents on one side and my grandparents on the other. It was on the same road as that old abandoned school not too far from Mott college. Crapo St. But once the decision was passed to switch the water over to the Flint River, I watched as everything around me slowly crumbled away. We were lucky enough to be able to move from Flint but now what once used to be a beautiful home now sits abandoned in a state of ever worsening disrepair. Just like hundreds of other homes and people's lives. All because our government lied to us.
Michigan is having such an issue in the area of Flint and Detroit, there’s so much property there there’s dilapidated and you can swoop up and turn it into something nice. Might be looking in the area. Provided you can still buy 30 round mags.
I used to live near Detroit and Flint I lived at a place called hamtram it used to look normal and now the outer part of Detroit looks so different it’s so socking how fast things change.
Damn all the families that lived there previously or if only just one family lived there, all the good and bad times, the things they had outside the house, the red truck that was in the driveway, the trees around the home. Majority of that is all gone, idk why but I like thinking about things like that. It makes me think about how those people’s lives were like and it’s nice and sad at the same time
as a resident of detriot. ive visited flint many times. its great. some places are abandoned like that one. but other than that. honestly besides the crime, nothing is bad in flint.
Remember! The water in Flint was toxic, which a lot of residents either got sick or died from drinking and bathing in it. 😢😢😮Some people were able to relocate far away!!
