"This one came to me very fast, it kind of jumped out of the guitar and the lyrics followed pretty instantly. It’s a song about my drinking, which I like to think i’ve got under control the majority of the time but I can be honest in saying that the devil on my shoulder sometimes is very persuasive. It’s quite an honest song which got me thinking. Everyone sees the funny guy, always smiling and having the last laugh. But they don’t see the guy who’s struggling inside.
‘Don’t judge my book it’s only a cover’ is a play on words basically meaning we are all guilty of covering up our true feelings to try and make life easier but everyone’s got a side that they cover up to protect themselves.
When I demoed this track I loved the way it layered up towards the end. We hope you like it".
