Hey, nice to meet you on the lake last week even if you did have to chop your way through the ice. Thought that might be on a vid. I’ll check out your store. Now that I saw you catching with those baits on my lake I will have to get some. Tight lines!
Haha thanks a ton Michael! It was nice to meet you as well, I’m happy to see you found the channel. Holler if you’d ever like to catch a few together on your lake :)
Dude, WHAT A JUMBO! That perch was a DONK! Also. We are gonna make it brisket season today booyyyyyyyyyyy! Pumped for these baits man. Really excited to throw the larger ones on a ned rig and catch some bass!
Ya know already ordered some🤣. Now just need for it to stop snowing and have a day off! But should have them by then. Congrats on the new bait Ethan! Enjoy your burgers 🍔
Excellent work ❗👍🏽 Glad to b a part of it.. congratulations on your product ❗ much success ❗ Excellent designs excellent jig heads ❗ now if you would only get a 3-in brim hat in your product line since that's what I believe really helps protect you from the Sun from the ears down on your face ❗👍🏽 ... I don't wear a baseball cap in the Sun when I'm fishing 🌞 😉🤙
Something we are not likely to hear Ethan say any time soon: "Dadgum it, I REALLY miss ice fishing." Congratulations and good luck with the Minnow, Ethan. Keep up the great work.
Went out yesterday 5/18 with my son and used the mule minnow actually rigged it the wrong way and still crushed it catching bass, crappie, and sun fish. Awesome product, can’t wait to actually use it the right way.
Wow that's crazy breaking ice to launch your kayak your a brave man lol. Looks like a good product I will definitely be getting my hands on some. Thank you for your dedication and hard work my friend.
Back in the yak! You love to see it. Congrats on expanding the line up. 🤙You know, the Bent podcast just started a small fishing industry makers interview thing recently. I think I I’m gonna go bring this up to them.
@@FishAnything I had so much success I had to buy more hopefully soon the 1/80 will be back in stock say what you want they sure do catch fish I wish you the best but the product sells itself if you actually use it
Life has been pretty busy! Just trying to be a good dad/husband :) Glad the days are getting longer and waters are opening up. Should start to be more active in my video uploads!
Recently bought The Mule Minnow 2.2 and on the first cast, bluegill!! 2nd cast 1/4 pound bass…. 3rd cast bluegill…so I thought must be luck…. Moved spots…. The bites kept coming, but couldn’t set the hook.. The Mule Minnow 2.2 is the real deal. Used: both Karma & Dakota Sunrise ( durable) Okuma Celilo 7foot Pflueger President 20 6# Braid 8# fluor leader Wind: 9-12mph Dingy water Barometric pressure: 29.3
All those fish that you just caught were great catches and there's no question about it. Also the 13-inch perch was a wonderful catch there, for sure it was. A great job well done on them. Another great video that I enjoyed watching.
Just placed an order! No hurry about shipping...I won't have open water up here for weeks yet :(. You ought to paint your kayak white, with a nice blaze orange stripe, because you looked just like a Coast Guard ice breaker out there :). Lol!
Hey Ethan it cool to see new baits I've been the other baits to nail a few crappie the last few days but once we get to 60 degree water they are going to be the last meal for more than a few lol anyway cool video I'll be ordering some of the minnows when I get paid again
@@FishAnything right on Ethan man I caught a real nice 15 inch female crappie on one of the dt jr.s the other day would have taken a picture but it wound up as two nice fillets instead lol
My first dragonfly's, and donkeytail jr's will be arriving soon, and i cant wait to try them out. I found out about them from John over at Creek Fishing Adventures. Keep up the great work!
I literally finally ordered donkey tails this week... Now theirs another one to try! Lol wild timing. I think u must have done it bc you knew I bought donkey tails...
Fish slow! Hit the areas that are getting solid sun in the shallows and have an opportunity to heat up just a little more. The bass I caught were all in the sun & 3 of the 4 came on windblown reeds. That surface temp had to be warmer there. Another good rig to try is a float rig to target suspended fish!
Hey I know you were in the pursuits of a 10 inch bluegill I live in northern Michigan and I have a spot that I could take you to that has 12 inches sometimes lots of 10-11 tho love ur videos bro fish on !!
I overlooked the spud feature on that Old Town paddle. I think they are missing a marketing opportunity there. Looking forward to seeing how the rigging options work out for the minnow. Wondering about the large size as a trailer on a mini chatterbait.
Haha yeah I was nervous I was going to snap it but it held up just fine. And the 3.2 is going to be a fantastic chatterbait trailer. I am specifically excited to try it on the Mini Max
You're the man. I'm too much of a wuss to go to the extreme of icebreaking to get a kayak out for fishing. But then mine is a paddle (narrow) sit inside and if I flip the fun stops for an old fart. Maybe forever. I went in with 50 degree water some time back and it changed my opinion of my own invulnerability by the time I, barely, got back ashore.
Yeah safety is always first. I know it didn’t necessarily appear that way haha but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do. Fortunately my kayak is super stable
Is the yellow perch native or was it brought over from Europe? The ones they just call perch we call in Australia redfin perch, you are encouraged to be taken at any size and also no bag limit afaik...just like the carp they are regarded as a pest species.
@@FishAnything we have atleast 6 perch species in Australia but the one that looks similar to your yellow is one introduced from the UK and looks very similar, just less yellow in the body
If you are just wanting to catch fish of all species, the 1/32oz Mule Jig with a Mule Minnow 2.2 or a Donkey Tail Jr will get the job done! Black jig is the most versatile but I personally like the brighter options. Match it up with any of the colors and you'll be good to go! Use more natural colors in clear water and colors which contrast more in dirtier water. Thank you!
I used a bit of everything but the fish I caught came on the following: Bass ate the 1/16oz chartreuse Mule Jig with a white Mule Minnow 3.2 Perch are the 1/16oz fire red Mule Jig with a chartreuse Mule Minnow 2.2
Maybe someday! I appreciate the feedback. Inventory is one of the highest costs of doing business when you’re small like Mule, so it can be tough to carry a huge selection of colors. Definitely agree a GP could be solid though!
Are your baits available in any of the local bait shops? I'm in your area and would love the check them out in person. If not I will have to order some this year, I know the guys over at Burly Fishing sing your praises. Good looking fish sir. Happy open water season! I hope to be out soon, gotta get my new kayak wet.
@@WestMichiganJigCo that's not too bad though. It's on my way to my in-laws. Although, too be fair, I just filled my cart on the site with everything I would want, and I'm still under 30. What is your shop? I love supporting local shops more that the big guys
They should be in at Armstrong's in the next couple weeks hopefully. Otherwise, I just haven't really had the time to focus on wholesale business because I am still a one-man team. That said, I hope to start focusing on working with more small baitshops throughout the next year or two. Thanks for asking!
You can use PayPal or a standard credit card payment. Otherwise, if you are still having issues with the website, send me an email at mulefishingsupplies@gmail.com
Good question Dave! I thought about it a lot in the development but chose to go unscented to avoid the material being slimy/greasy. I have been using a little bit of Megastrike scent on them and it seems to work really well and be less messy.
I was watching another y tuber finesse fishing. He was using some small grubs and swim bait's from another company. Doing ok. Then he broke out some mule donkeys and it was on.
@@FishAnything he was catching some real nice blue gills and a couple of fine bass. It was one of your swim baits, I think white and green. Don't remember his name.
