In this Amritsar Vlog, I will be sharing my experiences exploring the beautiful city of Amritsar, located in the state of Punjab.
As a foreigner in India, I am so excited to immerse myself in the culture and try some delicious Indian food. Join me as I embark on my first time traveling in India and discover the rich history and traditions of this fascinating country.
One of the highlights of this video is visiting the Golden Temple, a Sikh temple known for its stunning architecture and as the world's biggest free kitchen. I am blown away by the incredible work being done at the Golden Temple's langar, where 100k people are fed every day. Come along with me as I explore the temple and its kitchen, and sample some delicious Sikh food.
In addition to the Golden Temple, I also tried some amazing Amritsari food and visited other beautiful Indian sites in the area. Throughout the video, I also had the chance to interact with locals and share my reactions to some of the unique aspects of Indian culture.

I am also a Hindu ( not from Punjab) and from childhood we learned to respect the Sikh community .. unfortunately DUE TO ALL THE k PEOPLE activity against Indian assets and Hindus AND MORE SADLY THE SILENT MAJORITY who is not saying much has shaken that respect... .. Many G20 countries have their good areas and bad areas. USA, France and Italy have 3-5% bad areas. CharlieBo 313, Nick Johnson, Dutch 66 have shown bad areas in USA, however a lot of people are familiar with USA and assume that those are just few areas in USA. Mexico, Indonesia, India and China have 15 to 20% bad areas. Bad areas in India have cheap hotels, street food, street markets, friendly locals, SMEs manufacturing leather goods, footwear and apparels and waste recycling industries. Many adventure seeking backpackers like to venture into such areas in India to experience Indian culture and seek adventure. They create a perception that entire India is like that. However Josie maam has visited India as a tourist and has seen India comprehensively.

Sikh religion is the best in the world…and their contributions to India in every field is enormous…last month I got the chance to visit Amritsar twice in 1 week…I felt very lucky..maybe Nanak Devji ka bulawa tha…had Kara prasad..ghee was dripping between my fingers…fir langar chakha both day and night…it was awesome…thinking for 1 more trip…not sure what’s there but it attracts you like a magnet

if you dont want selfies, you could just say no. Avoid saying yes for selfies in crowded places cause people will just bombard you with requests. People just wanna take a selfie with you cause you look different. They will probably show it to their friends once or twice and forget ever taking a picture with you lol.

Namaste, Thank you for beautifully capturing Golden temple, There are many temples which offer free meals. There are many highly powerful spiritual temples in India. You will feel some different positive energy there. India is so diverse, in every 200 km you may see different languages and accents, different food, outfits, terrains and wheather. And Please ignore communal comments, some people here in comment section are so narrow minded. And these narrow minded people just start claiming they and their community is best, and it spoils unity and image of the country. About the photo thing, my ex girlfriend is a foreigner and I am an Indian. She didnt like the photo requests either and I just used to refuse on her behalf by saying that she doesn't like it. People were okay with that. Funny, when I visited Indonesia many locals wanted a photo with me and I was so flattered 😄

Rabri is milk cooked on slow flame for long time and sugar is added to it alongwith cardamom n dry fruits...n lassi is made by churning yoghurt with sugar and rose water....hope u keep enjoying the indian delicacies

The Dessert you ate at the end is called FIRNI (or PHIRNI) and it's a dairy product made from Milk and soaked RICE's powder. Moreover you will get it only in Amritsar in Punjab.

Josie how long were you in india ❤I’ve been many many times from Australia and have been watching your videos and you seem to have covered quite a lot. I go every year for 1 month and have been doing that for 8 years now. I have an Indian family I support in Kota. Best Lassie is Jaipur the white is the best it’s Natural and the Punjab people do a great Lassie, it’s curd on the top and the clay cups are disposable 💕🙏. At a lot of these tourist places, there are people who are probably stepping outside their villages for the 1st time, let alone going outside India. It's likely the 1st time they're seeing foreigners/ white people as well. Hence the photo request are largely due to curiosity and novelty.

Sometimes there’s a line of many people to take one, then their sister, then their friends, then one each, then a group photo, hahaa it just takes a lot of time and like I said I usually just accept all of them but it’s a lot sometimes 😂 And I don’t know why they’re doing it because they don’t know me I’m not famous!! 😂

Also I know it's easy for us to say "say no to requests" but if you really don't get good vibes from someone or just don't want to do it just say no, they will leave.

@@josieliftsthings It must be overwhelming, we all deserve privacy & some peace. :( If I may suggest, you can spend some time in the more urban/ modern parts or try exploring the nightlife in between all the monuments & tourist hotspots before jumping back into the chaos (which has its own beauty, I guess). If you're going to Delhi, perhaps Khan Market or Cyberhub.

Actually people see foreigners only in TV. When they see them in public they get excited and want to capture meeting them. You can't blame those people because they actually ask before taking pics and then you says yes. At the same time you can't be blamed for saying no but complaining after saying yes to everyone is not cool i mean how will they know what you're feeling until you say them no.....

They actually continued to take photos of me anyway but I didn’t mention that haha. I was asking how I can say no in the future if I don’t feel up to it that particular time. Rabri is basically made by boiling milk(preferably full fat) on a low flame, till it is reduced to half the quantity you started with, then sugar is added.. it eventually thickens and best served cold with dry fruits ✨
