WHY AM I CRYING??! Jasx! I have been wearing wigs since I graduated high school back in 2012. I have quite a journey of wigs and weaves and over time I switched up and developed my preference in hairstyles and it ended up being SYNTHETIC WIGS 🙈! I know, I know! it jus started being comfortable because I, like you, bought higher quality wigs and it made it easy maintenance AND I enjoyed switching up my hair a lot. The synthetic wig market has definitely gotten much better quality than it was back then and I’m so here for it all! People come up to me all the time and assume my hair is 200-400 dollars because I know how to keep my syntheticas up and able to wear for long periods of time as well as styling them so that they are looking “straight out of the box” every time. Me being ignorant to the market myself, thinking that these companies that already exist is all there is and there’s no way someone like me could take part in this market (as if it’s all set in stone 🙄) over the years I’ve only seen about two other new websites created besides the original ones I shopped from! Money has been tight for me but I believe this is my sign! 🔅🔱 thanks for the confirmation!

Yes it’s true. I am selling them. The good ones are called premium synthetic wigs and they look hella good nowadays but the marges you make on them are not that high unfortunately.

I only have 2 human hair wigs. The rest of mine are synthetic. I get compliments on both types of wigs because people can’t really tell the difference.

I’ve been very successful with selling hair without investing my own money. The pandemic was a blessing to my business for some time, however the closure and frontal prices jumped through the roof and my sales went down. 🥴 They don’t want the bundles it they can’t afford the closure or frontal. This is my long time supplier and I don’t even feel like trying new vendors for trail and error. It really made me lose interest in the hair game but I’m feeling a major comeback!

Bobbi boss butta lace. The beauty supply store near my house is ALWAYS out of stock 😩 And the one time I was able to buy one, it was $30 more than what it would’ve been online. That’s when I knew that I’m doing the wrong research. I’m stressing about good virgin hair when I need to be looking at synthetic wigs. I was so mad at myself for buying that wig but I was also giving the store owner their props bc they knew the assignment. There are soooo many youtubers that buy synthetic wigs and review them. I just go straight to the wig store and purchase mine. I have a wig closet. Over 600 wigs. I usually end up giving them away and just buy more. Any hairstyle u want comes in a synthetic wig and any color. Their easy and low maintenance. I love them and everyone else loves them on me. I have sold them right off my head. That was before covid though.

The synthetic wigs are especially nice now with the lace front, I use to sell them years ago brands such as vanessa, but use to go in an area in miami in a shopping district and pick them out. Over here in the bahamas we have alot of beauty supply stores who sell them. These are the only types of wigs my mom wears. I agree with you the human hair business is a hetic, I use to sell that as well, but my supplier kept going up on the prices.

It’s for natural hair but their wigs are soooo 🔥🔥🔥🔥 Edit: I believe their’s are made in China but I low key think they get them made custom from the manufacturer as per their design requirements... bc I know damn well China isn’t doing them that fly without being instructed by an actual black person lol

I had a feeling you were gonna say synthetic wigs. I still wear synthetic wigs....they are literally game changing & not what they use to be! And they even have a lot of ones now that resemble straightened natural hair that is styled. One of the best places to get em is samsbeauty.com ... I've seen one black girl who has a company that sells them but I cant remember her name....She sells the high quality synthetic wigs and has become wealthy from doing that. But she is literally the only person I've ever seen to do it....so you are sooo right. This is a market that people are definitely sleeping on.
